Wanda Sanders Mitchell died Friday, May 25, 2012 in Cape fear Valley Hospital at the age of 61.
She was born in Cumberland County on July 17, 1950 to Monnie M. and Ethel Louise Hales Sanders. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Her mother, Ethel Louise Hales Sanders preceded her in death.
She is survived by her father, Monnie M. Sanders of Charleston, South Carolina; a son, Wayman Douglas McCorquodale and his wife Elizabeth of Raeford; a brother, James A. Sanders of Raeford; two sisters Kathy Sanders Settle and her husband Mark of Raeford, Debbie Sanders Crain and her husband Jim of Lumber Bridge; and a nephew, William Earl Hendrix of Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Underwood officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 A.M. until 11 a.m. prior to the service at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery.
