Emanuel Edward "Ed" Galbreith, 84, of Raeford, formerly of Southern Pines, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at FirstHealthMoore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors are his children, Jackie Monroe (Curtis) of Southern Pines, Claudia McClain (Arnie) of Charlotte, and Susan Galbreith (Clinton) of Pinehurst; a long-time companion, Magnolia Davis of Raeford; his sister, Patricia White of Brooklyn, New York; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A walk-through viewing will be held 5-6 p.m. Friday, December 6 at Simon Funeral Home Chapel, Southern Pines.
The family is receiving friends at 405 S. Mechanic Street, Southern Pines.
The funeral will be held Saturday, December 7 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 200 East New York Avenue, Southern Pines.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Southern Pines
