Mary Ruth Calloway Haire died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the age of 98.
She was born in Surry County on December 3, 1915 to the late Robert and Blanche Cook Calloway.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest B. Haire and her son, Ernest B. Haire, Jr. She was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church and past president of Woodman of the World, Chapter 118 in Raeford.
She is survived by her son William Robert Haire of Bumpass, Virginia; three sisters, Sadie Cagle of Miami, Florida, Joan Frye of Aberdeen, and Patsy Edwards of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Nicole Law and William Haire, Jr; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Haire and Micheal Haire.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Antioch Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
