Gladys Autry Bowen

Gladys Helen Autry Bowen of Fayetteville died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Cape Fear Medical Center in Fayetteville at the age of 80.
She was born in Cumberland County on November 27, 1932 to the late Jessie T. Autry and Gladys Autry Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth F. Bowen Sr. and her brother, Gene L. Autry. She was a member of the Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church. She raised a loving family and was a sweet and loving mother.
Survivors includeson Kenneth F. Bowen Jr. of Littlestown, Pennsylvania; daughters Marsha B. Bullard and her husband the Rev. James Bullard of Parkton, Laura J. Bowen of Fayetteville; brothers Herman T. Autry and his wife Nancy of Raeford, Richard F. Autry and his wife Patricia of Fayetteville; sisters Jane A. McKenzie of Red Springs, Susan A. Cartee of Hope Mills; Elaine A. Dowdy and her husband Lynwood of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Samuel Keith Massey, Nora Lynnette Massey, Tammy Huculak; three great-grandchildren, Heath Massey, Tristan Massey, Isaac Huculak; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Autry of Hope Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday May 24, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Hope Mills Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Elton Bryan and C.R.E. Herman Autry officiating. Burial will be at the LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.

Laura Jacobs

Laura Louise Clark Jacobs, 50, of 5197 Phillippi Church Road, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Survivors are: her husband, Ronald Delton Jacobs; two sons, Blake Jacobs and Matthew Jacobs and wife, Chelsea; a grandson, Kyle Jacobs; her mother, Nancy Pierson; her father and wife, Harry and Betty Clark; four brothers, Tommy Clark, Nelson Clark, Gene Clark and Joseph Clark; and two sisters, Wendy Dunn and Carmen Clark.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Reedy Branch Baptist Church in Fairmont. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at Revels Funeral Home of Lumberton.

Freeman Locklear

Freeman "Watash" Locklear, 75, of 2913 Blue Springs Road, died Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Survivors are: wife, Virginia; children, Cynthia Oxendine, Regina Clark, Shawanna James, Boninie, Kevin; three siblings; 21 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thurs. May 23 at3 p.m. in Mount Elim Baptist Church. Entombment will be in church cemetery.
Visitation will tonight, May 22 from 7 to 9 at the church.

Rosalee Robinson

Rosalee Robinson 72, of 166 Gatsby Drive, died Thursday, May 16, 2013.
Survivors are: son, Rockton Thurman; daughters, Lisha Astorga, Lori Wyatt and Cynthia Cole.

Gregory W. Jordan

Gregory W. Jordan, 58, of 934 Reed St., died Friday, May 17, 2013.
Survivors are: wife, Sarah; chldren, Tony Blue, Martha Page; stepdaughter, Lanisha Bratcher; siblings, Gloria Cash, Donald; five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thurs. May 23 at 3 p.m. in Freedom Chapel AME Zion Church. Burial will in church cemetery.
Visitation will be today, May 22 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Doby Funeral Home in Raeford.

Sheila Spear

Sheila Joy Spear, 52, of Crestview, Florida, died Sun.. May 12, 2013.
Survivors are: husband, David Joseph Spear; Edward Jarrell Jr. of Raeford; mother Dannie Louise Botsford and step-father Howard "Buck" Botsford; son, Jeremy Spear; step-brother, Dennis Botsford; step-sisters, Michelle Kirchhefer, Pam Sowell, and Cindy McGowan; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The funeral was held Fri. May 17 at 10 a.m. in Live Oak Baptist church in Florida. Burial was in church cemetery.

Elbert Wiles

Elbert Wiles, 96 of Traphill, died Sat. May 11, 2013 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Survivors are: wife, Ruby Pruitt Wiles; daughters, Pauline Caudill, Helen Blackburn, Susie Wiles all of North Wilkesboro, Trixie Faircloth and her husband Stanley of Fayetteville, Carolyn Osborne and her husband, Terry of Traphill; sons, Jack Wiles, Danny Wiles and his wire Vanessa of Traphill and Roger Wiles of Hays; sister Mable Billings of Clemmons; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grand children.
The funeral was held Tues., May 14, at 4 p.m. in New Covenant Baptist Church in Hays. Burial was in church cemetery.
