Ruby Flinchum McPhail, formerly of Raeford, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Windermere Nursing Center, Virginia Beach, Virginia at the age of 94.
She was born in Moore County, North Carolina to the late Jeremiah Jones and Cora Key Flinchum. She was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church, The Eastern Star, and The Mecca Shrinette Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Malcolm McPhail.
She is survived by a son, William M. McPhail, Jr. of Raeford and a daughter, Susan M. Ridout and her husband, J. Bradley of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one granddaughter, Joann R. Harris; one great-grandson, Foster McPhail Harris of Norfolk, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30,2014 at the Raeford Cemetery.
