Duane K. Robinson

Duane Kyle Robinson, 59, of 124 Tahoe Court, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.
He was an Army veteran.
Survivors are: wife, Sophia; daughters, Shayla Timani and Tivanne; son, Duane Jr.; sister, Valerie Greaux; and brother, Jerold.
The funeral will be held Saturday. Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Learning Center in Red Springs. Burial will be in Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Red Springs.
 Viewing will be held Fri. Oct. 24 from 2 to 7 p.m. at L.E. Floyd Funeral Home in Red Springs and also at the home.

Vicki Beck

Vicki Alesia Brahin Beck 52 of Lexington died Monday October 20, 2014 at her home.
She was born May 10, 1962 in Washington, D.C.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert Edward Brahin and grandson Kullin Beck.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Michael Beck; three sons, James Robert Beck, Michael Brandon Beck, Tristan Eric Beck; three brothers, Chris Edward Brahin, Tom Brahin, David Brahin; two sisters, Bonnie Brahin and Tracy Riley; five grandchildren, Cody Beck, Aaron Beck, Noah Beck, Brooklyn Beck, Josh Beck; and her parents, Shelva and James Riley of Raeford.
Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Raeford Cemetery.

Willie G. Tate

Willie Grace Tate, 92, of 332 Old Wire Road, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014.
Survivors are: daughters, Maxine Gibson, Bernice Everette, Jacklyn Bunkins, Calian, Linda Tate; and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral was held Saturday, Oct  18 at 2 p.m. in J.W. Turlington School. Burial was in Daniels and Platt Cemetery.

 



James E. Jones

James Edward Jones, 80, of 171 Rose St., died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014.
Survivors are: children, Burnis, Janice, Ann, Delillah, Symphony, Audrey, Bernard, Gladys, Deanna, Sandra; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in Buie Funeral Home chapel in Raeford.

Rev. Frederic "Fred" Dinkins

Rev. Frederic Rodolph "Fred" Dinkins of Fayetteville died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in his home at the age of 88.
He was born November 16, 1925, in Green County, Mississippi to the late Arthur Alexander Dinkins and Estelle Maples Dinkins. He was preceded in death by his sons, William Frederic (Rick) Dinkins, and John Gillis Dinkins. He attended Galatia Presbyterian Church. He served in the US Navy during WWII and served 35 ½ years as missionary with the Presbyterian Church in Brazil. He received his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and his master's from Columbia Theological Seminary. He served as pastor at the Abbeville Presbyterian Church in Abbeville, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Gillis Dinkins of Fayetteville; his daughter, Mary Ruth Dinkins of Fayetteville; his daughter-in-law, Mary Adams Dinkins; two step- grandchildren, Wendy Ray and Candida Nance; brothers-in-law, Bill Gillis (Grace) of Fayetteville and Johnny Gillis (Barbara) of Fayetteville; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. at Galatia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Shuford White, the Rev. Sanders Read and Evangelist Trinidad Martinez Solis officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
