Winnie M. Woods, age 90, of Red Springs, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Autumn Care in Raeford. She was born in Scotland County on October 3, 1924.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Martin Henry Woods, Marvin Woods, and James Sherman Knight; a brother, Lacy McGee; and a sister, Eddie Lee.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Woods of Raeford; Teddy Knight of Lumberton, Ronald Knight (Sara) of Shannon, and Mareno Woods of Raeford; daughters Dianna Anderson (Kevin) of Phoenix, Arizona, Faye Storms of Roswell, New Mexico, Sue Oxendine (Johnny) of Raeford, Wanda Carol Davis (Roy) of Raeford, and Patricia Woods of Knoxville, Tenessee; a daughter-in-law, Caroline Chavis of Raeford; more than 30 grandchildren; and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
