Benjamin A. Elledge died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at the age of 89.
He was born September 14, 1925 to the late Benjamin A. Elledge and Clara Gambel Elledge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel O. Elledge. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired in the late 80's from Burlington Industries.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Ray Elledge of Raeford, and David Allen Elledge and his wife Hye of Raeford; one daughter Bonita Elledge Atwood of Rowland: four brothers, Robert Elledge, Joe Elledge, Edward Elledge, and Walter Elledge all of South Carolina; two sisters Mary Ann Babbs and Beulah Lincathum both of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Melissa Elledge of New York, New York and Brittany Elledge of Raeford.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Crumpled Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC
The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Toby Neil officiating.
Interment will be in Highland Biblical Gardens.
