He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Survived by: Son, Christopher; and a grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 27 at noon in Buie Funeral Home chapel in Raeford.

Jill Bryant

Jill Bryant of Fayetteville died Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 40.

She was born in Cumberland County on December 12, 1974 to James Bryant and Doris Whitehead. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Jaleena Bryant of Fayetteville, Jewel Bryant of Fayetteville, Hannah Dunn of Lumberton; her sons, Shammond Stocks of Fayetteville, Daniel Bryant of Fayetteville; her father, James E. Bryant and his wife Dale of Fayetteville; her mother, Doris L. Whitehead of Fayetteville; four sisters, Darneena Basile of Fayetteville, Janet Bryant of Fayetteville, Deborah Raeford (John) of Fayetteville, Donna Bryant of Fayetteville; two step-sisters, Lisa Bullard (Andy) Jacksonville, Wanda Cummings of Fayetteville; step-brother, Bobby Cummings of Fayetteville; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home-Raeford.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at Jesus First Church, 7467 Camden Rd, Fayetteville. Burial will be in the Bryant Family Cemetery in Hoke County. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home, 1751 Wellons Drive Fayetteville.

Robert C. Hendrix

 Robert C. Hendrix of Raeford went to be with his Lord, Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the age of 84.

He was born in Hoke County on August 26, 1930 to the late Charlie F. Hendrix and Ruth Delia Carter Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Hendrix and son, Rudolph C. Hendrix. Also, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill, Bennie, Lonnie Hendrix, and Mamie Hendrix Rockholt. He was a member, deacon, elder, and president of his Sunday School Class of the Raeford Presbyterian Church and as well as a member and Past Master, of the Raeford Masonic Lodge # 306. A few of his favorite things were Christmas, bird watching, gospel music, good country cooking, as well as fishing and spending time with his friends and family. He was a godly man who loved life and lived it to its fullest.

He is survived by his daughter, Lena M. Scott and her husband, Frank of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Lance Lewis and his wife Dina, Jonathan Dunn of Manassas, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Robert, Eleftheria, and Sophia Lewis; his brothers, Noah Hendrix and his wife, Audrey of Raeford, and Howard Hendrix and his wife, Janet of Raeford.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home-Raeford.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Raeford Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Michael L. McGehee officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery following the funeral service with Masonic Rites.
