Jannie C. Patterson

Jannie Mae Campbell Patterson, 94, of Red Springs, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Autumn Care of Raeford.
She was born in Robeson County on December 17, 1920 to the late Lawerence and Hattie Campbell.
Survivors are: daughters, Gina Daniels of Raeford, Catherine Patterson, Perlie B. Brown, Clara Pratt(Thomas), and Annie "Maxine" Smith; sons, James(Shirley) of the home, and Larry Patterson(Yvette); sister, Helen Artis of Red Springs; 27 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 15 at 2 p.m. in Red Springs Middle School in Red Springs with the Bishop Genathem Winston officiating. Burial will be in the Mack's Chapel Church Cemetery in Red Springs.
Public viewing will be held Friday, August 14 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs.

Lamar F. McLean


Lamar F. McLean, 44, of Raeford, died Sunday, Aug.9, 2015.
Survivors are: mother, Polly; brothers, Ernest, Lutena and Gregory; and sisters, Andrea Williams and Devra Miller.
The funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. in Buie Funeral Home chapel in Raeford. 
Viewing will be held Thursday, Aug. 13 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

William L. Lancaster

William L. Lancaster, Jr., 73, of Coffee Springs, Alabama, formerly of Raeford, died Friday, August 7, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jill Hawkins.
Survivors are: his wife, Elke Lancaster, Coffee Springs, Alabama, former wife, Beverly Quick Lancaster and son, William(Will) L. Lancaster III of Yanceyville; three brothers, Dave Lancaster(Ann Marie) of Garner, Joel Lancaster(Terri) of Chancellor, and Bob Lancaster(Mary) of Defuniak Springs, Florida; and a grandson, David Hawkins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jean McBryde


Jean McBryde, 73, of Ashley Heights NC went home to her Maker on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 surrounded by family.
Jean was the daughter of Lonnie Fish and Ollie Burgess.
Survivors are: her husband of 55 years, Leonard 'Mac' McBryde Jr.; two daughters, Pam Poe of Shallotte NC, Daphne Logue (Brian) of Durham NC; three sons, Bryan McBryde (Amy) of Whispering Pines, Ryan McBryde (Marylove) of Aberdeen, and Leonard McBryde III of Aberdeen; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11:00 am at Ashley Heights Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Kevin Huff.
Family will receive friends at the church prior to the service starting at 10:00am.
A private family burial will follow at Shiloh Presbyterian Church.

Infant Aybel Kase

Infant Aybel James Kase died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He is survived by his mother and father Jessi and Cheryl Kase of Spring Lake,  a brother, Chancelor Woodworth of Ohio, two sisters, Fayth Kase and Jewels Sanders of Spring Lake, paternal grandmother, Jean Kirk of Ohio, paternal grandfather, James Kase of Ohio, and two aunts, Meme New (Janet) of Fayetteville, and Crystal Sanders (Rick) of Raeford.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 2699 Hwy 401 business, Raeford, NC; with Pastor Toby Neal officiating.
