Julian Ann Monroe

Julian Ann Wood Monroe of Raeford passed away June 22, 2017 at Open Arms at the age of 91. 
She was born December 6, 1925 in Cumberland County to the late Allen Wilton Wood and Kate Easterling Wood. She was a member of Galatia Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. She was also a member of the Rockfish Home Extension. 
She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas C. Monroe, her son, Joe A. Monroe and brothers Wilton, Donald, and Harold "Craig" Wood. 
She is survived by her son Ronnie D. Monroe and his wife Wanda of Raeford; her brother, Marion Wood and his wife Virginia of Southern Pines; two grandsons, Bryan D. Monroe and his wife Kelly of Raleigh and Jason Monroe of Raeford; and four great-grandchildren, Cara, Cameron, Grace, and Savannah Monroe of Raleigh. 
A visitation will be held Sunday June 25, 2017 from 2-2:45 p.m. in the church parlor at Galatia Presbyterian Church. 
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday June 25, 2017 at Galatia Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Brett Johnson and ruling elder Herman T. Autry officiating. 
Interment will be at Galatia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mary Alice Davis

Mary Alice Jackson Davis of Raeford passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the age of 66. 
She was born March 17, 1951 in Robeson County to the late Bennie and Edna Jackson. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Davis Sr., and siblings, George Jackson, Robert Jackson, James Jackson, Margaret Jackson and Jill Davis. 
She is survived by three sons, Larry Davis Jr. (Angie) of Kentucky, Walter Davis (Yvonne) of Alabama, and Edgar Davis (Misty) of Tennessee; a daughter, Sissy Fetters (Daniel) of Raeford; a brother, David Jackson (Jackie) of Sunset Beach; a sister, Brenda Price of Fayetteville; and 13 grandchildren, Jennifer, Allison, Tyler, Julian, Braden, Brittaney, Jessica, Derek, Kaylyn, Hally, Mya, Rosalie, and Jazmine. 
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday June 23, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave. Raeford. 
Interment will be at Great Marsh Baptist Church, 270 E. Great Marsh Church Road, St Pauls.
