Donella McKoy

Donella McKoy, 71, of Raeford, died Saturday, May 26, 2018.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Laurinburg.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 at Word of Life Temple, Raeford.
Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Snow Hill.

Patricia G. Kirkpatrick

Patricia "Pat" Gore Kirkpatrick went to her heavenly home while being surrounded by her family on May 30, 2018.
She was born in Hoke County on June 1, 1947 to the late Clayton Gore and Almadie Allen Gore. She was employed with Milliken Textiles and Campbell Soup before finding her calling as a CNA. She loved and cared for people and sharing God's love with them. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillie Gore and Joyce Gore Dees.
She is survived by her children, Larry Haney (Vicky), Allison Whitt (Jeff), Joy Tompkins (Roy), Sarah Franco-Galindo (Claudio) and her adopted son, Steve Miller; her grandchildren, Nikki Ferber, Erica Whitt, Kristy Whitt, Terry Hubbard, Christopher Locklear, Jeremiah Stewart, and Taylor Tompkins; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan Ferber, Hanna Ferber, and Allie Whitt.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Crumpler Funeral Home-Raeford.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Toby Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Biblical Gardens.

Sydney L. Green

Sydney Lee Green of Aberdeen passed away Monday, May 29, 2018 at his home at the age of 81. 
He was born in Alabama on January 25, 1937 to Lewis Henry Green and Virgil Blankinship Green who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ruth Wilson Green. 
He was a member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired with the State of North Carolina. 
He is survived by three sons, Dwight Green of Aiken, South Carolina, David Green (Brooke) of Siler City, and Donald Ghant (Michelle), also of Aiken; two daughters, Shirley McFadyen of Vass, and Sonja Sullivan (Johnny) of Carthage; three stepchildren; 13 grandchildren; six great–grandchildren; and a sister, Tommie Fields of Harpersville, Alabama.
A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday May 31, 2018 at Crumpler Funeral Home 40229 US 1 Hwy. Aberdeen. 
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Ashley Heights Baptist Church 10351 Aberdeen Road, Aberdeen, NC, with the Rev. Donald Vinson officiating.

Johnny Dees

Johnny E. Dees of Raeford Passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Manor Care in Pinehurst at the age of 80. 
He was born in Fayetteville on March 4, 1938, to the late Harry E. Dees and Iris Hathcock Powell. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Aaron Gauge Dees and a half-brother, Dennis Lee Powell. He worked for the City of Raeford as Animal Control officer before he retired. 
He is survived by his son, John E. Dees Jr., of Raeford; two sisters, Maxine Vislar (Mike) of Hope Mills, and Donna Rae Sanmiguel (Sammy) of Texas; a brother, Steve Dees of Hickory; and a half-brother, Dale Powell (Joanne) of Raeford.
A private memorial service will be held later.
