Lucy Mae Ray of 515 Regent Court Fayetteville, formerly of Raeford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the age of 66.
She was born December 1, 1947 in Pitt County to the late Matt Henry Copper and Martha Hardy Copper. She was employed by Burlington Industries.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Ray, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Deborah Collins; two sons, Timothy Ray and Kenneth Ray; a brother, Ray Copper; three sisters, Lena Williamson, Janie Benjamin, and Dorothy Harrison; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Public viewing will be 12-6 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford.
A home going service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Prospect AME Zion Church 15269 NC Hwy N. in Shannon with the Rev. Larry Lilly officiating.
Interment will be in Prospect AME Zion Church Cemetery in Red Springs.
