George Richard (Ricky) Pittman of Raeford died Monday, September 5, 2022, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at the age of 69. He was born in Hoke County on September 18, 1952, to the late George Pittman and Elizabeth (Lib) Carter Pittman. He loved to travel and was in a local band, Wild Oats, before owning and operating Concrete's Finest. Later in life, his hobbies were grilling, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Elizabeth Pittman and Nancy Elaine Pittman Molchan. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamala Thompson Pittman of Raeford; two daughters, Sarah M. Pittman of Raeford, and Sharon D. Pittman (Zach Warner) of Raeford; two stepchildren, Michelle Richmond (Shane Richmond) of Kingsville, Maryland, and Rocky Godwin (Kristina Godwin) of San Antonio, Texas; and three granddaughters, Heather, Kiersten, and Wynn.A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 6-8 pm at Crumpler Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Pittman Grove Baptist Church at 3 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mary Joyce Neely Gregory of Raeford died Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Magnolia Gardens in Southern Pines.She was born in Lovington, New Mexico on August 15, 1931 to the late Everett Neely and Beulah Huffman Neely. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded by her husband of 52 years, Dawson Gregory. She is survived by her son, Kenneth D. Gregory of Raeford; her daughter, Byna Gregory of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; her adopted son, James Gregory of Ft. Walton Beach; two grandchildren, K.W. Dawson Gregory of Raeford, and Dustin Gregory of Raeford; and two great-grandsons, Garrett Gregory, and Wyatt Gregory. A memorial will be held later in Florida. Kenneth Wayne Weston, 75, of Holden Beach died surrounded by his family on Monday, September 5, 2022. He was born in Onslow County on May the 20th, 1947 to the late Gordon Thomas and Emma Lee Weston. He was preceded in death by two sisters Cleo Buchanan and Betty (Cyrus) Scott. He was a member of the Holden Beach Chapel. He served as a Master Mason of the Raeford Masonic Lodge 306. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Sergeant from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol after 28 years of employment. After he retired, he immersed himself in the Town of Holden Beach by serving on local boards and volunteering for festivals, summer concerts and other various community events. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Cecelia Weston; a son, Chad Tracy Weston (Bridget) of Supply; daughter, Shannon Hill (William) of Greenwood, S.C.; three grandchildren, Courtney Weston, William Hill, III and Andrew Arteagaharo; and siblings Mac Weston, Tommy Weston, Ruby White and J.D. Weston. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, September 13th at 2 p.m. at the Holden Beach Chapel.
