Patricia McGilvary McInnis Himsl of Cape Coral, Florida went to her heavenly home September 8, 2014 with her children at her bedside.
She was born at home July 7, 1940 in Dundarrach to Daniel and Mabel "Jeff" McInnis. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother.
Parents Daniel and Jeff, husband George Himsl, and brother Julian "Hub" McInnis all preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sisters, Phyllis Slocum (Spencer), Dana DeArce (widow of Gil), Marie Pyeatt (Mark), and her brother Dan McInnis (Linda).
Also surviving are her four children Michael Langston, Lisa Himsl Meyrick (Bob), Perry Himsl (Joyce), and Matt Himsl, and six grandchildren, Kristoffer Neegaard, Daniel Neegaard, Analise Himsl, Mallory Himsl, Victoria Langston and Maya Langston.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 18 at 3 p.m. at Dundarrach Community Church.

Peter W. Hathaway
Peter William (Pete) Hathaway of Raeford died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Firsthealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 77.
He was born in Waubun, Minnesota January 10, 1937, to the late William and Juanita Hathaway.
He retired from US Air Force in 1974. He was employed with the Fayetteville Police Department and Cumberland County Sheriff's Department. After retiring from the North Carolina Department of Probation and Parole, he worked for several years with Hoke County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Hathaway of Raeford; a daughter and two grandchildren of Minnesota; a stepdaughter Paula Crowder (Chris) of Raeford; a step-grandson Tyler Crowder; two stepsons of Fayetteville; two sisters; and a nephew.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Sister Betty Bullen officiating. Full military honors will follow at the funeral home.

Edward Jarrell
Edward Jarrell, Jr. of 2691 Rockfish Road Raeford, NC; died October 10, 2014 at Firstheath Hoke Campus, at the age of 81.
He was born in North Hampton County on September 21, 1933 to the late Edward Jarrell, Sr. and Carrie Turner Jarrell. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheila Joy Spear and his sister Virginia Overton. His hobbies were dancing and working on old cars.
He is survived by his grandson Jeremy Spear (Michelle) of Defuniak Springs, Florida; a great-grandson Jeremy Spear, Jr; two step-great-grandchildren, Brently and Brandon Cordle, son-in-law David J. Spear of Crestview, Florida; and two sisters, Fleeta J. Maxwell and Beulah J. Johnson (Archie) both of Raeford.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - noon Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Philippi Presbyterian Church Cemetery with CRE Herman Autry officiating.

Leslie J. Mata
Leslie Justine Mata, 44, of Raeford, died suddenly yet peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at home with her husband by her side.
She was born Dec. 3, 1969, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia, to Richard and Janice Mata.
She grew up in the San Francisco area of California. She attended Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, Calif., Then graduated from Laguna Hills High School in California.
Following high school, she worked in customer support and various administrative positions.
In 1991, she enlisted and served six years in the Army Reserves, based out of Mountain View, Calif.
After relocating to North Carolina, she applied her entrepreneurial skills to establish several small business ventures in the Fayetteville and Raeford area.
She was actively involved in fundraising for military servicemen and their families.
Survivors are: her husband, Kris Meyer and his family; her father, Dick Mata; her mother, Janice Kittner; and her sisters, Allison Millana and Margaret Kittner.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will follow.
In lieu of flowers: donations may be made to the Special Forces Charitable Trust.

Emma Lee Loyd, 67, of 703 Forest St., died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014.
Survivors are: daughter, Tamesha McGregor; sisters, Ida, Lee Esther Purcell, Hattie Kershaw, Sallie Daniels and Joyce Fairley; brothers, James, Andrew and Neal Loyd.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. Monday in Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Wagram. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery in Red Springs.

Francisco M. Sanchez
Francisco Menchaca Sanchez, 93, of Raeford, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014.
He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors are: sons, Javier, Manuel, Raul and Tomas; daughters, Maria Torres, Yolanda Chamberlain, Lillia Silva, Teresa, Thelma Cruz and Silvia.
A memorial Mass was held Friday, Oct. 10, in Pope Chapel at Fort Bragg. A funeral service will be held at a later date in Weslaco, Texas.
