Betty Henderson Hunt, 54, of 2163 South Duffie Road died March 14, 2017.
She was born in Scotland County on February 8, 1963 to the late David Henderson and Otellar Jones. A loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, her grace and beauty followed her wherever she went. She was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Mt. Elim Baptist Church in Red Springs. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Woriax, Isabelle Woods, and Mattie Bell Scott, and her brothers, Irvin and Ivory Henderson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Bobby Hunt; daughters, Melony and Kelly Hunt; grandchildren, David Hunt, Kaleb Graham, Mekayla Tillman and Kassidy Graham; sisters, Rachel Locklear, Gensie Henderson, Joan Hunt, and Barbara Henderson; and brother, Donnie Henderson.
The family will receive friends and family Friday evening 7-9 at Mt. Elim Baptist Church in Red Springs.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2016 at Mt. Elim Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Webb and the Rev. Larry Locklear officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.
