Clem T. Ray

Clem T. Ray, died Monday, March 2, 2015.
Survivors are: children; Mary Ray, Fred Ray, Thomas Ray (Katie), Ophelia Ray-Fenner, Frances Ray, Curtis Ray (Theresa), Gloria McGregor (James), Luther E. Ray (Crystal), Julia Thomas, and Bobby Ray (Patricia); brother, Johnny (Jean) Ray of Charlotte; sister, Cora Graham of Charlotte; aunts Ophelia and Wilfred McLean of Lillington; sister-in-laws Costello Parker and Berline Lynch of Brooklyn NY., Sallie B. Ray, Emma Ray, Mary-Ann Ray of Raeford; 42 grandchildren, 82 great-grand, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends
The funeral will be held Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. in Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Billy R. Hinson

Billy Ray Hinson Jr., 41, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in his home.
Billy was born in Cumberland County, Aug. 15, 1973, to Billy Ray Hinson Sr. and Marilyn Jeffers Hinson. He was the owner of Hinson Automotive in Fayetteville. He loved his family and friends very much. He had a passion for music, especially playing the drums. Billy will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors are:  his parents, Billy Ray Hinson Sr. and Marilyn Hinson of Fayetteville; a brother, Christopher Hinson of Fayetteville; a sister, Belinda Hinson of Ohio; a special nephew, Alanmichael Hinson of Fayetteville; nephew, Christian Hinson of Fayetteville; a niece, Emily Robinson of Parkton; and many many aunts, uncle and cousins.
A visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at LaFayette Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Isenhour officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Virginia M. Johnson

Virginia M. Johnson, 87, of 1206 N. Fulton St., died Monday, March 2, 2015.
Survivors are: children, Anthoni, Cynthia McPhaul, Thomarine Jackson, Terri, Harley, Derwin and Charles; seven siblings; 21 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday, March 5 at 5 p.m. in A New Beginning Committed To God's Purpose Ministries Inc. in Red Springs. Burial in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. 
Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

 



Sandy McMillian

Sandy "Buddy" McMillan, 82, of 612 Health Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015.
Survivors are: son, Alfred; and brothers, Elijah and Douglas.
The funeral will be held Thursday, March 5 at noon in Wiseman Mortuary chapel in Fayetteville. Burial in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
Viewing will be held 11 a.m. to noon, with visitation 11:30 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home.

Shirley Joan Boquist, 75, of 3022 N. Duffie Road, died Monday, March 2, 2015.
Survivors are: sons: Kenneth Scribner, Daniel, Bruce, James, Robert, Paul and David; daughter: Pamela Locklear.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 4 at 11 a.m in James Locklear Sr. Cemetery in Raeford.

Mary Ann Shelton, 70, of 411 W. 6th Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.
Survivors are: children, Celester, Craig, Brian; sisters, Linda Alston, Connie Chambers, Audrey Johnson; brother, Andrew Chambers; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
The funeral was held Sunday, March 1 at 12:30 p.m. in Buie Funeral Home chapel in Raeford.
