Daniel Ray Nelson, 38, died January 25, 2020, in Raeford.
He was born June 22, 1981 in Fayetteville to Lisa Nelson-Atchison and Danny Ray Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Nelson and grandmother, Judy Holifield.
He is survived by his daughter, Haley Nelson, 12, of Raeford; his mother, Lisa Nelson-Atchison and stepfather, James Atchison or Raeford; his sister, Cheri Thomas; brother in law, Christopher; two nieces, Aubrey and Olivia, both of Raleigh; grandfather, Jim Holifield, of Raeford; and grandparents, Ted and Dorothy Nelson, of Spring Lake.
A family memorial will be scheduled at a later date.

Daniel B. Casperson
Daniel B. Casperson of Raeford died Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his home at the age of 85.
He was born in Racine County Wisconsin on December 17, 1934 to Thomas and Leona Smith Casperson. He served in the U.S. Navy, and retired as a car salesman in New York. He was a member of the American Legion in Hoke County and attended Rockfish Church in Raeford.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Pierce Kirk-Casperson of Raeford; a son, Daniel T. Casperson and wife Sharon of Jacksonville, Florida; three daughters, Sharon A. Casperson of Schenectady, New York, Kathy J. Stiffen (Michael) of Scotia, New York, and Marissa L. Lassi and husband Tony of Raeford; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters.
A private memorial service will be held later.
