Laytosha R. McNair

Laytosha Readdy McNair, 35 of 233 Twin Creek Dr., Raeford died Wednesday as the result of an automobile accident in Fayetteville.
She was born September 1, 1978 to Julius and Vernella Handon Anderson in Cumberland County.
Survivors are: her parents; one son, Gabriel McNair of the home; two sisters, Deshanda Readdy and Allonease Readdy of Raeford.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 23 at at 2PM at the Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters, Raeford. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Fayetteville.
Visitation Tuesday, from 3PM until 7PM at the Powerhouse of Love and Faith, Inc., Fayetteville. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession. Arrangements are by the Haskins Funeral Home, Goldsboro.

Wilma J. Monroe

Minister Wilma Jane Monroe, of Raeford, died recently.
Survivors are: children, Charles, Henrey, Donnie and Lynwood; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 19 at 2 p.m. in St. Mary's Holiness Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held today, July 18 from noon to 7 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Evie Blake

Evie Merle Bowman Blake, age 80, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.
She was born in Dale County, Alabama on March 21, 1934, to the late William Littleberry Bowman and Clara Belle Morris Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace T. Blake. She was a member of Celebration of Praise Church of God in Raeford.
Survivors are a son, Dale B. Blake and his wife Tammi of Raeford; a daughter, Sharon B. Branch and her husband Randy of Raeford; a stepdaughter, Barbara J. Blake of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two brothers, James Bowman and his wife Glenda of Dothan, Alabama and Billy Bowman and his wife Pat of Ozark, Alabama; three sisters, Helen Brown of Morris, AL, Voncile Senn of Newton, Alabama, and Bettie Dietz and her husband Jim of Ozark, Alabama; four grandchildren, David Shane Herring of Raeford, Natasha Beard and her husband Shelton of Red Springs; Kevin Jackson of Raeford, and Gerri Jackson of Raeford; five great-grandchildren, Shelton Lee Beard II, Briana Beard and Nevaeh Beard all of Red Springs, and Katie Grace Herring and Lathan M. Herring both of Raeford
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Celebration of Praise Church of God with the Rev. Jerry Edge officiating. Burial will follow in the Raeford Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.

Frances W. Autry

Frances Woolley Autry died peacefully in Raeford on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 92 years of age. She was known for her paintings, for her cooking, and for her love of travel.
Born in Vass on January 21, 1922, she was preceded in death by parents were James and Lena Reynolds, and her brothers Bill, Cecil and Herbert Reynolds. She was married and widowed by John Willis Ragan of Fayetteville and John W. Woolley of Red Bank, New Jersey.
She is survived by her husband, Corbett Autry of Lumber Bridge; her daughter Mary Frances Powers and her husband Jim of Mattawan, New Jersey; her son Donald Woolley and his wife Britt of Durham; her stepchildren Kathy and Delone Autry of Raleigh; grandchildren Michael Powers and his wife Heather of Indiana, Pennsylvania and Kenneth Powers of Queens, New York; sister-in-law Louise Reynolds of Raeford; niece Martha R. Parks and her husband Ray of Fayetteville; nephew Mike Reynolds and his wife Vickie of Aberdeen; great grandchildren Lucy, Laila, and Henry; grand nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Melissa, Jennifer, Tony and Chris; and great grand nieces and nephews Hailey, Abby, Lauren, Austin, and Ryan.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery, Dunn, with the Rev. Shuford White officicating. Family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
