William (Willie) Thomas Lentz Jr. of Raeford, died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
He was born in Moore County on October 12, 1950, to the late William T. Lentz Sr. and Aline Edwards Daniels.
He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Helen (Ma) Woodcox Lentz, and his sister Kay McMillian.
He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his sister Jean Lentz McDiarmid and her husband Johnny of Raeford, daughters by marriage, Cindy Baxley and her husband John, Wendy Fabian and her husband Allan, and Betty Baxley and her husband William, all of Raeford, grandchildren, Megan (Jason), Austin, and Ethan, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Emma, and Dakota, great-great-granddaughter, Everly, nieces, Joli (Tim), Jenny (William), and Anna, nephew, Bobby (Barbara), and great nieces, Cathy, Aline, and great-nephews, William and Everett.
He is also survived by his dear friends, Butch, Larry, Tommy, and Harold.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Raeford Cemetery with Eric Rich officiating.

Sharon Kay Strickland
Sharon Kay Strickland of Raeford died October 19, 2022, surrounded by her family at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
She was born in Long Beach, California on August 12, 1942, to the late George Livingston and Evelyn Griggs Livingston.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard Lee Strickland Sr., sister, Lois, and her husband Patrick McGovern, and her brother, Clifford Livingston.
She was a proud veteran of the US Navy as the admiral's secretary. She was an avid collector of beanie babies and cabbage patch dolls. In her spare time, she loved playing bingo and making jewelry. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Shielah Strickland, and her husband Bradley Page of Raeford, Timothy Strickland of Independence, Missouri, Richard Lee Strickland Jr. and his wife Christine of Newbern, and Dyanna Strickland of Arlington, Texas, 6 grandchildren, Richard Lee Strickland III and his wife Mara, Morgan Thomson and her husband Lawrence, Tymmy Strickland, Arrin Davis and his wife Morgan, Eric Strickland and his wife Courtney, and Kyle Strickland, 7 great-grandchildren, Annabella, Emma, Sawyer, Ethan, Nora, Brida, and Richard Lee IV, and her brothers, Charles Livingston and David Livingston.
A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery, with military honors.
The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

He was born on December 12, 1979 in Cumberland County. He was previously employed with Time Warner Cable.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Pat of Raeford, a brother, Patrick McNeill, and his wife Shelley of Dotha, Alabama, two nephews, Andrew and Matthew McNeill who are students at Auburn University, and a longtime friend, Casey Long.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Raeford Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Lee and Chaplain Jerry Lee Mclendon officiating.

She was born in California on January 31, 1987.
She was a loving and giving advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. She was an avid animal lover.

Margie Phipps McKay of Raeford died October 20, 2022 at age 77.
She was born in Cumberland County on February 6, 1945 to the late Oscar Fenny Phipps and Magnolia Walters Phipps. She was a member of Living Faith Ministries Church in Raeford.
She is survived by her husband William H. McKay of Raeford, a brother, Robert Phipps and his wife Gwen of Rome Georgia, nieces Hope Tharp, Love Daniels, and Joy Lumpkin all of Rome, nephews, Keith Phipps, and his wife Kim of Wilmington, Jimmy Phipps and his wife Angie of Parkton, Karen Phipps of Fayetteville, Janet Singletary, and her husband Mark of Hope Mills, Anthony Barfield of St. Pauls, Joel Barfield of St. Pauls, Dan Barfield of Lumberton, Barbara Mitchely of Roanoke, Virginia, and Oscar Phipps Jr. of Roanoke.
