Jeffrey Bullard

Jeffrey Bullard of Raeford died Monday, May 1, 2023 at the age of 65.
He was born April 23, 1958.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date. Services are entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Joann Harris

Joann Harris died May 7, 2023 at the age of 79.

She was born January 28, 1944.

She is survived by her children: Stacey S. Harris, Donald A. Harris; brothers, John Isaac (Eleanor), David Thompson (Evelyn); four grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at Freedom East Presbyterian Church.

Tracy Beasley

Tracy (Patsy) Beasley died May 7, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 78.

She was born in Hoke County on December 22, 1944 to the late John Patrick and Sarah Atkinson.

She was a feisty woman with a lot of life. Her passion was working in her yard and caring for her family. She loved gardening, shopping, yard sales, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Beasley; daughter, Karen Barefoot; two sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Danielle) Natale and her husband Jonathon; son in law, Ray Barefoot; grandchildren, Ashley Barefoot, Madison Barefoot, Parker Barefoot, Kinley Taylor, and Nylae Natale; and siblings, Buddy Lee, and Joyce Faircloth.

A visitation will be held from 11-noon Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church, 379 West Palmer Street, Raeford, N.C. A service will immediately follow after the visitation at noon. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28304.    

Vincent McAllister

Vincent McAllister, affectionately known as "Bernard," died Friday, April 28, 2023 at his home at the age of 70.

He was born June 4, 1952.

He was educated in Hoke County public schools and a member of the graduating Class of 1969 from Hoke County High School. He advanced his education via Psychiatry Residency, Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and Physicians, Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia); ECU School of Medicine (Greenville), UNC-G and NC A&T University (Greensboro), Premedical Curriculum, NCSU; Psychology, BA, UNC Chapel Hill.

His brother, Orlando T. McAllister preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, John D. McAllister, Jr., MD (Betty), Jason A. McAllister (adopted) (Asia-Marie); one sister, Marverra S. McAllister-Savage; two nephews, Jarmen R. and Czyz N. Savage; two nieces, Tatia Long (Ashanti); Tolisha S. Dent (Karseem); three aunts; two uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.

There will be a graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Vincent McAllister on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. at McAllister Family Cemetery.
