Survivors include his wife Dorothy Rose; a daughter, Anjanette Rose Chege; and siblings, Edme Lord, Erma Riley, Hugh Rose, Hamel Rose, Cedric Rose, Ann Ford, Edward Rose and Oriel Rose.
A public viewing will be held Friday, August 3 from 4-7 p.m. at Purcell Funeral in Southern Pines.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 4 at 1 p.m. at Purcell Funeral Home in Laurinburg. Burial will be in Serenity Memorial Park in Raeford.

Carolos W. Goodman
Carlos W. Goodman of 176 Goodman Drive died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in his home at the age of 76.
He was born on December 29, 1935 to the late Ervin Jenkins Goodman and Arva Caulk Goodman. He was a member of the Refuge Pentecostal Holiness Church of Hope Mills.
Survivors include his wife, Ann B. Goodman of the home; five sons, Carlos Wendell Goodman, Jr. and his wife Kris of Hope Mills, James C. Goodman and his wife, Meloney of Raeford, Donnie E. Goodman of the home, Ronnie G. Goodman and his wife Melody of Raeford, Jeff R. Goodman and his fiancé, Mary of Fayetteville; a brother Max Goodman and his wife Betty of Cerro Gordo; seven grandchildren, James Goodman Jr, Daphnie Hartman, Redonna Mounts, Kyle Goodman, Zachary Goodman, Tiffany Moss, Melissa Fritches; and five great-grandchildren, Austin Hartman, Jordan Moss, Hayleigh Hartman, Isabella Mounts, Hannah Hartman.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC 28376.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Celebration of Praise Church of God, 4944 Fayetteville Road, Raeford, NC 28376, with the Rev. Russell Kinlaw Jr., Jerry Edge, the Rev. James Goodman and Donnie Goodman officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

Beaulah Mae McAllister Breeden, 86, of Raeford, died Friday, July 27, 2012.
Survivors are her daughters, Carlista, Emma, Juanita and Mary; sons, Wilmore Jr., John and Keith; siblings Beth McLean, Coye McAllister; 29 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wed. Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. in McLaughlin Chapel AME Zion Church. Burial will be in Highland Biblical Gardens.

Diane S. Hedgpeth
Dianne Smith Hedgpeth of 391 Potter Road died Friday, July 27, 2012 in her home at the age of 65.
She was born in Richmond County on February 15, 1947 to the late Veryl Pitts Smith and Mary Potter Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hedgpeth, Sr. She worked for more than 35 years as a nurse in Hoke and Richmond Counties, and was an administrator for an assisted living home.
Survivors include three sons, Troy Hedgpeth, Keith Hedgpeth and his wife Earlina, and Mitchell Hedgpeth all of Raeford; and a grandson, Brandon Hedgpeth of Raeford.
Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
