Joan Hawley of Raeford died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at age 82.
She was born in Orange, New Jersey on December 18, 1936, to Jacob and Mildred Friedrich. She was preceded in death by her sister Doris Lahm and her brother Kenneth Friedrich. She worked for New York State Electric and Gas Company, as a beautician in the state of Pennsylvania, and as a licensed realtor in Pennsylvania. She loved to travel all across the U.S. with Everett.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Everett Hawley of Raeford, several nieces and a nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Sandra M. Holcomb
Sandra Marks Holcomb, age 67, of Raeford, died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born in Moore County on November 11, 1951 to Thad and Doris Marks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur Marks. She was a member of Parker United Methodist Church and was employed the Hoke County Schools system.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Harold (Butch) Holcomb of Raeford; two daughters, Kim Holcomb of Spring Lake, and Heather Holcomb of Holden Beach; two grandchildren, Cody Holcomb of Raeford, and Wesley Wilburn of Spring Lake; and a sister, Elaine M. Dore and husband Edward of New Hampshire.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Parker United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Chandler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
