David Felton Faircloth, 80, formerly of Newport News, Virginia, died at Alpine Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro, on August 31, 2019. He was born December 25,1938 in Bladen County, to James Wesley and Virginia Dent Faircloth.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Hook (Dave Hartless) of Randleman, and Carol Coleman (Chris) of Virginia; grandchildren, Mary Steele, Jennifer Cash, Stephen Johnson (Crystal), Rachel Peavey (Jason), Brandon Lindblom, Jacob Hook, Hannah Hook, and David Ray Hartless; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, James Shirley Faircloth, Margaret Clevenger, Sylvia Polston, Tommie Clonch, Dot Clevenger, Donald Eutis Faircloth, Hazel Jones (Benny), and Betsy Faircloth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Canady Faircloth; siblings Nancy Edwards, and Joyce Hogg.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. A funeral will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines. Burial will follow at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 4164 Hoffman Road, Jackson Springs.
