Trapper David Dunlap of Robbins died August 1, 2020 at age 40.
He was born in Moore County on May 18, 1980. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Dunlap. He was kind-hearted and would do anything for you. He loved to cook for his fiancé, Sonia Ritter. His hobbies were using his metal detector and making all kinds of wood keepsakes for his family using his circular saw.
He is survived by his mother, Melinda Phillips Steere and her husband Bud of Raeford; a sister Nikki Dunlap of Robbins; a brother Jody Dunlap from Glendon; his paternal grandmother Betty Dunlap of Robbins; his step-mother Linda Dunlap of Putnam; and three nephews, Austin Dunlap, Matthew Dunlap and Ranger Dunlap.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Fair Promise Methodist Church, 192 Glendon Carthage Road with Pastor Tom Hallberg officiating.

Terry Jackson
Terry Jackson of Shannon died Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 61. He was born August 6, 1958 to the late Carlton Harvey Jackson and Dorothy Huggins Taylor. He was a member of Shannon Missionary Baptist Church in Shannon. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Wayne Jackson, and Carlton Eugene Jackson, and a sister, Sherry Lynn Jackson. He is survived by his son, Tyler P. Jackson Sr. and his wife LaQuasey of Fayetteville; a grandson, Tyler P. Jackson Jr. of Fayetteville; four sisters, Carolyn Faye Kamleiter and her husband Bud of Jacksonville, Joyce Diane Dick of Shannon, Cindy Phillips and her husband Keith of Emporia, Virginia, and Tammy Jackson, also of Emporia; and two nieces, Cathy Joe and Marie, and several nephews including Tommy.
