Ruth Tolar Tyner of Red Springs, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton at the age of 95.
She was born September 4, 1917 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to the late Edmund Cornelius Taylor and Mary Catherine Roller.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack B. Tolar, Sr. and Ted R. Tyner and her son Steve Tolar. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Springs.
She is survived by a son Jack B. Tolar (Silvia) of Hope Mills; a sister Margaret Quick of Raeford; three grandchildren, Robert Tolar (Rochelle), Christina Horner, and Alaine Tolar (Chris); and one great grandson Robert Todd.
The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church in Red Springs at 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 with the Rev. Bradley Boberg officiating. Interment will be in the Alloway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite.

Kelvin O Morrison
Kelvin O'Micheal Morrison, 48, of 306 Turnpike Rd., Raeford, died August 20, 2013 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Surviving are a son, Vontario O'Micheal Quick; daughters Lia Desiree Brazile, Corrinna McNeill, Porshe Nicole Bachelor and Tiffany Cianna Morrison; his mother, Mary Thomas Morrison; sisters Sonya C. Morrison and Audrenita P. Morrison; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday at Buie Funeral Home Chapel, 543 Vass Road, Raeford from 1-8 p.m., August 24. Family visitation is 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be Saturday, August 24 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Church of God Founded by Jesus Christ, 449 Alex Baker Road.

William Parker Sr.
William "Bill" Thomas Parker, Sr., 69, of Raeford died suddenly Saturday, August 17, 2013.
He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 23, 1944 to the late Glenn and Betty Parker. He was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and just being a part of nature. He cherished his family and the time they spent together. He spent more than four decades as an electrician with Burlington Industries. His life was devoted to serving Christ and others.
To cherish his memory he leaves behind his wife, Mary; son, William "Bill" Thomas Parker, II and fiance' Erin Tart, of Aberdeen; daughters Tracy Parker-Edwards and husband Ricky of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kim Parker of Southern Pines, Wendy Parker-Ward and husband Reedie of Pinehurst, and Marianne Parker of the home; brother Frank Parker of Raeford; sisters Glenda Chambers of Aberdeen, Nora Craven of Seagrove, and Sheila Deeb of Pinehurst; 12 grandchildren, LCpl Christopher Seaford (USMC), Jeremy Seaford, Megan Tillis, Michael Lovette II, Heather Odom, Richard Odom, Daniel Odom, Victoria Ward, Amber Ward, Erin Ward, Kaleb Quick, and Kyler Quick; and two great-grandchildren, Jade Odom and Taylor Tillis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 6-8 p.m.

James H. Caulder
James Harley Caulder age 75 of Raeford, died Sunday, August 18. 2013 in his home.
He was born June 9, 1938 to the late John Earl Caulder and Mary Elizabeth Hayes Caulder. He was preceded in death by his daughter Susan Caulder and his bother Lester Caulder.
He was a member of the Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Helen Saunders Caulder of Raeford; a son Michael J. Caulder (Christine) of Raeford; two daughters, Toni Caruso ( James) of Raeford and Diane Owens of Lyman, South Carolina; two brothers, Ernest Caulder (Middy) of Fayetteville, and John Caulder (Louise) of Raeford; four sisters, Thelma Willoughby ( Braxton) of Red Springs, Shirley Odom (Willie) of Raeford, Frances Tyner (Robert) of Raeford, and Carol Altman (Bill) of Holden Beach; and five grandchildren. .
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church with Pastors Roger Burns and Billy Joe Brady officiating.

She was born January 9, 1924 in Mahopac, New York to the late Emerson Hadden and Marion Lewis Hadden. She was a homemaker.
