Lillian Howard Kenworthy of Raeford died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Autumn Care Nursing Home at the age of 91.
She was born in Bristol County, Massachusetts on March 29, 1921 to the late Robert Howard and Annie Barker Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn (Lew) Kenworthy and her son, Robert Kenworthy.
Survivors are a son, Carl S. Kenworthy of Raeford; a daughter, Virginia Makins and her husband Charles of Michigan; a sister Bernice Nuzzo of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.

Martha Carol N. Buoy
Martha Carol Newton Buoy of Fayetteville died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 78.
She was born on September 30, 1933 to the late Gordon Bennett Newton and Irma Pate Newton. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Bennett Newton, Jr. She was a member of the Galatia Presbyterian Church, Women of the Church, Ladies Bible Class and the Galatia Seniors Club.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Dudley Dallas of Tabor City, Gerald N. Dallas of Raeford, and David Wayne Dallas of Fayetteville; a sister, Sylvia Newton Parker and her husband, D.B. of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Christopher Paul Dallas, Sarah C. Fox, Justin Dallas, and Kaitlyn Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC 28376.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at Galatia Presbyterian Church, 8800 Galatia Church Road Fayetteville, NC 28304 with the Rev. Shuford White officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Shirley D. Lightsinger
Shirley Davis Lightsinger of Raeford died Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Autumn Care of Raeford at the age of 69,
She was born in Cumberland County on April 7, 1943 to the late Issac and Julie Elizabeth Jordan Davis. She was preceded in death by a brother Issac Milton (IM) Davis and her sister Louise Davis.
Survivors include a son Billy C. Lightsinger, Jr. and his wife Kim of McColl, South Carolina; two brothers, Dennis Davis and Raz Davis and his wife Glenda all of Raeford; a sister-in-law, Barbara Davis of Hope Mills; and two grandchildren, Adam Lightsinger and Lyndsey Lightsinger, both of McColl.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 until 8 Monday evening at the home of Billy and Kim Lightsinger; 107 Rosemary Street, McColl.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Maranatha True Holiness Church in Raeford with the Rev. Billy C. Lightsinger, the Rev. Roy Puckett, and and the Rev. Bo Grooms officiating.
