Frances McBryde FitzSimons age 90, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Open Arms Retirement Center.
She was born in Hoke County on September 27, 1921 to the late Ryan and Swannie McBryde. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin R. FitzSimons, her brother, Thomas McBryde, and her sister, Mary Elizabeth Tovey.
Survivors are daughters, Linda F. Humphrey and her husband Carson of Topsail Beach, and Ann FitzSimons and her husband Michael Dietzel of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, David Wilson, Michael Wilson, Joel Humphrey, Mary Dietzel, and Thomas Dietzel; and one great granddaughter, Delaney Wilson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the Raeford Cemetery with Dr. Stephen Hannah officiating.
Visitation will be after the service at the gravesite.

Martha J. Davidson
Martha Jane Davidson of 164 New Hope Lane, died Wednesday, September 4, 2012 in her home at the age of 70.
She was born on July 23, 1942 in Erie County, New York.
Survivors are three sons, Michael S. Davidson and his wife Debra of Newport News, Virginia.; Mark C. Davidson and his wife Kelly of Raeford, and Christopher A. Davidson of Florida.; two brothers, Charles M Canham and his wife Joesephine of St. George, Utah, and Arnold A. Canham and his wife Sally of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held later at the home.

Roscoe S. Tolar
Roscoe Steve Tolar of 120 Prince Charles Street, Red Springs died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Southeastern Regional Medical Center at the age of 65.
He was born in Robeson County on June 3, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Bunyan Tolar.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth T. Tyner of Red Springs; a brother, Jack B. Tolar (Silvia Sneed) of Hope Mills; an aunt, Margaret T. Quick of Raeford; two nieces, Alaine Tolar of Wilmington, Christina Horner and her husband Chuck of San Antonio, Texas; a nephew, Robert Tolar and his wife, Rochell of Raleigh; and one great nephew, Robert Todd of San Antonio.
Visitation will be 10-1 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 E. 4th Ave, Red Springs, NC 28377.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012 in the Alloway Cemetery with the Rev. Bradley Boberg officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Ray-McPhaul; children, Diamond & Brazier Ray; his mother, Jennie McPhaul; his father, Edward Hamilton; his grandmother, Julia Hamilton; and sisters, Tonja McPhaul, Lynnette Morrisey and Swanda Ray.
