Travis Hathaway

Travis Wayne Hathaway of Pittsboro died Thursday, May 11, 2023, at home at the age of 83.

He was born in Durham County on February 3, 1940 to the late Roger Person Hathaway and Vera Kennedy Hathaway.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Ivey Hathaway, two sons, Brad Dawson and wife Tracy of Zebulon, Jon Dawson, and wife Lisa of Clayton, four grandchildren, Ainsley, Liam, McKinley, Maya, and two sisters, Patricia Barbour of Pittsboro, and Sheila Crabtree and husband Ray of Chapel Hill.

A funeral will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Bynum UMC with Pastor Paul Burgess and Pastor Wesley Thomas presiding. Burial will follow at Bynum UMC cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Travis's memory to Bynum United Methodist Church 774 Bynum Church Road Pittsboro, NC 27312.

Ralph Tindall

Ralph Woodrow Tindall of Wagram died May 11, 2023 at the age of 63.

He was born June 25, 1959.

His journey through this valley has been quite a journey. His journey started at Burlington Mills while he was in high school. He worked for many years for the Hoke County Sheriff's Department, was an officer at Pinehurst P.D., was Chief of police in Parkton, sergeant, and D.A.R.E. officer in Maxton. After 20 years of service, he retired with the Resorts of Pinehurst.

After his retirement, he worked part-time at Forrest Creek in Pinehurst. He was a volunteer fireman with the Raeford Fire Department, and North Scotland Fire Department in Wagram.

He was a member of the Raeford Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon, Elder, and President of the men of the church.

He is survived by the love of his life, married for 40 years, Linda Stanton Tindall, of Wagram; his children, Sarah Nicole Tindall, of Wagram, and James Walter Tindall, of Wagram; and grandpup, Holly Jane.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Raeford Presbyterian Church with Dr. Reverend Shane Owens, and Reverend Marvin Seals officiating. After the service, a visitation will be held in the John C. Ropp Fellowship Hall.
