Frannk J. Orians
Frank J. Orians, age 74, of Bluffton, South Carolina and formerly of Raeford, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at home. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a graduate of Campbell University and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam and retired as major. During his tenure he served as a medic and as a Green Beret with the Special Forces. He was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. Following his military career he worked as a Veterans Representative at Methodist University and for Hoke County. He was active with Rolling Thunder in Fayetteville and H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group). He was also a member of the VFW, the DAV, and Parker United Methodist Church in Raeford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Orians; and sister, Rudee Orians. He is survived by his wife of six years, Teresa A. Orians; son, Frank Joel Orians (Sherry); daughter, Michelle Dobbin (Robert); mother, Harriet Menkveld; stepson, Larry Ellis-Palmer (Jessina); stepdaughter, Mary Ellis Meadows (Chris); sisters, Judy Orians and Jean Orians (Jim Blacker); stepbrother, David Menkveld (Nenita); grandchildren, Joseph, Jared, Kendra, and Branda; step-grandchildren, Isabella and Liliana; and great-grandson, Jackson.
The funeral will be held at noon, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910 with burial following at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Chesley T. Crouch Jr.
He was born in Hoke County on June 11, 1924 to the late Chesley Thomas Crouch Sr. and Mary Ina Thompson Crouch. He was a farmer in Hoke County until he retired.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Strother Crouch and his sons, Tim Crouch and James Crouch.
He is survived by a son, David Crouch (Jan) of Calabash; two daughters, Nora Summerland (Larry) of Society Hill, South Carolina and Rachel Wilson (Bill) of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; two brothers, Ernest Crouch (Marie) of Carthage, and Hardin Crouch (Juanita)of Hampstead; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Crouch of Aberdeen; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
The funeral will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. in Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Ashley Heights Baptist Church Cemetery.
