Debra Lynn Butler Patterson, 64, died Friday, February 19, 2021. She was born August 18, 1956 in Cumberland County to William Benjamin Butler and Edna Faye Barefoot Butler.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Edward Paul Patterson, and a sister, Brenda Kay Cecil.
She could play any musical instrument, enjoyed country music, and had an awesome talent for singing. She was a giving person. If someone was in need, she would give the shirt off her back. She dearly loved her family and family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her son, Michael Paul (Leslie) Patterson; grandchildren, Todd Patterson, Rhianna Patterson, and Kaitlin Patterson; her brother, William Butler; and her sister, Pamela Dawn Butler.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel in Raeford. The family will receive friends immediately after the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
