Steve Allen Miller, 48, of Raeford, North Carolina, died May 17, 2022.He was born September 2, 1973, in Raeford. He had a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to help people out. He Once happily shared on his Facebook, how his day was made when he had the opportunity to help someone in need, even though he himself was struggling, then he concluded, "I hope today is the best day ever and every day after does nothing but get better. I will see y'all around." Things such as helping others and doing things for others, that's what made Steve happy. He also took pride on his work and was good at it. Steve is predeceased by his Parents Marshall Royce Miller and Agnes Goodman. He is survived by his mother Brenda Miller of Raeford; his three brothers, Brian Miller and his wife JoAn of Fayetteville, Ronnie Miller and his wife Sarah of Chesapeake, Virginia and Travis Miller and is wife Christina of Parkton; three nieces, Rebecca, Piper, and Zoey; and a nephew, Eric.

Retired Staff Sgt. Vaughn Wayne (Duke) Guy of Raeford died Monday, May 30, 2022 at age 77.He was born in Philadelphia on June 10, 1944 to the late Johnny B. Guy and Alvetia Mitchell Guy. He retired from the U. .Army in 1982 where he served proudly in Vietnam and was a survivor of the TET offense. He was preceded in death by his daughter Michaela Guy and eight siblings, Lawrence, Phillip, Gerald, David, Christopher, Kenny, Sheila, and Roxanne.He is survived by his wife of 40 Years Leonor (Lee) Guy of Raeford; four children, James Krom and his wife Melanie of Andover, Minnesota, Donna Betz of Newport News, Virginia, Robert Krom of Raeford, and Teresa Krom of Toms River, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Pierre, Cierra, Giovanna, Emma, Mia, Noah, Isabel, Harvey Jr., and Richard; one great-granddaughter, Liliana; and five siblings, Donald Guy of Berlin, New Jersey, Martha Tyree of Maryland, Beetle Guy and his wife Sarah of Berlin, Roberta Strickland of Voorhees, New Jersey, and Dale Guy of Wilmington.Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford. The funeral will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.Burial will be at noon on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Sandhills Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Ft. Bragg, NC with full military honors.

Kevin Goggil of Raeford died at his home on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the age of 67.Be was born in Peoria, Illinois on November 4, 1954, to the late Walter Leo Goggil and Elinor Byard Goggil. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Goggil, Jerry Goggil, and Mike Goggil.
