James M. Davis

James Michael Davis of Lumber Bridge died Wednesday, February 05, 2014 in Southeastern Medical Ceneter at the age of 63.
He was born in Robeson County on October 11, 1950. He was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Humphrey.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Brad Davis of Lumber Bridge, Brent and Kent Davis both of Burlington, his daughter Erica Chavis of Pembroke, his father, Holmes Davis of Lumber Bridge, his brother Stanley Davis (JoLynn) of Red Springs, and several grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Alloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Sarah C. Tucker

Sarah Conoly Tucker, 87, of Sophia, formerly of Raeford, died January 30th, 2014 in her home.
She was born August 28th, 1926 in Hoke County, to the late John Edward and Mable Lillian Chason Conoly. She was a member of Sandy Grove Methodist Church in Raeford and retired from Cape Fear Hospital in Wilmington. She moved to this area on July 27th, 2008.
Her husband, Carl Ray Tucker, preceded her in death on January 22nd, 1998. She was also preceded by a son, Stacy Mitchell Davis.
Survivors are: three children, Patricia Ann Hollingsworth of Sophia, Barbara Fay Horne and husband Gene of Wilmington and Larry Edward Davis of High Point; sister, Alene Virginia Ketchel of Bowie, MD; brother, Jimmy Neil Conoly of Raeford; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9th, at 1st Church of God with Rev. Hallie Scott officiating. Visitation with a meal will immediately follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to 1st Church of God Building Fund, 7009 Weant Rd. Archdale, NC 27263.

James H. McPhatter

James Henry "Cook" McPhatter, 81, of Raeford, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.
Services: Funeral, 2 p.m. in Jackson Funeral Home chapel in Laurinburg. Burial in Lilly Chapel cemetery in Red Springs.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, February 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harry S. Daniels Jr.

Harry Sammons Daniels, JR., age 67, of Graysville, Alabama, died on January 28, 2014. He was a retired police officer with the city of Fairfield, Alabama. He is survived by his children, Ashley (Josh) Payne and Kyle (Heather) Daniels; his mother, Gertrude Daniels; his sister, Judy (Leland) Strother of Raeford; and grandchildren, Tyler, Brodie and Kylon. Barbara Davis

Barbara Ann McClure Davis, 73, of Fayetteville died February 1, 2014.
She was born in Delaware County, Pennsylvnia on November 12, 1940, to the late Alexander and Frances Rigby McClure. She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac M. Davis,Sr., and three brothers, Alexander, Edward and George McClure.
Se is survived by two sons Sonny Davis (Lynn) of Fayetteville and Tim Davis (Andrea) of Clayton; a daughter Athena Quick of Fayetteville; a brother Mike McClure; four sisters, Doris Boyer, Betsy Myers, Kate Michaelidas and Ann Kersey of all Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren Johnathan, Melaina, Sunnie, Sierra, Jessica, Brandon, Samien, and Breylon.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dwight Jackson officiating.
Interment will be at Highland Biblical Gardens Raeford.
