Darlene A. Garner

Darlene Andrews Garner of Raeford died surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at age 65. 
She was born in Moore County on July 2, 1956 to the late Lawrence Elbert Andrews and Ruth Mae Cauley Andrews. 
She was a member of A New Beginning Assembly of God in Vass, where she played the piano and was awarded perfect attendance for six consecutive years. She was employed for 13 years with the Hoke County Soil and Water Conservation and was a home daycare provider for 16 years in Raeford, a job she truly enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Andrews, and Edward Andrews. She is survived by her children, Edward (Eddie) Wade Garner and his wife Lula of Raeford, Patrick Brian Garner and his wife Rebekah of West End, Westley Chad Garner and his wife Lauren of Raeford, Mandi Ruth Holder, and her husband Jason of Raeford, NC and Candi Rose Myatt and her husband Daniel of Camero; her grandchildren, Crystal, Jerri, Ashley, Edward Jr., Savannah, Sarah, Katie, Victoria, Kayla, Bradley, Chloe, and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Ryder and Waylon; a brother, Larry  Andrews of Raeford; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Andrews of Raeford.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022, at A New Beginning Assembly of God, 123 Causey Road, Vass, with the Rev. Mary Jane Andrews officiating.
Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

Wayne F. Livingston

Wayne Fulton Livingston of Lumber Bridge died Monday, March 28, 2022 at age 66.
He was born in Cumberland County on February 17, 1956 to the late Archie Howard Livingston and Betty Jean Smith Livingston. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Livingston. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Black & Decker in Fayetteville. 
He is survived by his wife Joyce Honeycutt Livingston of Parkton; three children, Heather Pirro of Florida, Gary Livingston and his wife Samantha of Hope Mills, and Crystal Storkamp of Parkton; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Tammy L. Daniels and her husband Brian of Raeford; a brother, David Livingston of Lumber Bridge, three nieces; and one nephew. 
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the Livingston Family Cemetery, 7300 Saint Pauls Road Lumber Bridge, with Pastor Dwight Jackson officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

Jeffrey Gaines

Jeffrey (Jeff) Ronald Gaines of Aberdeen (Hoke County) died Saturday, March 26, 2022, at age 47.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 19, 1974, to the late Ernest Paul Gaines and Carol Pamela Fretwell Gaines. 
He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed reading westerns, loved to cook and create new dishes, and sent food home with his loved ones, though he expected his Tupperware back. He especially enjoyed spending time with his youngest son Christopher, and he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Brandon Paul Lewis. 
He is survived by his wife, Margie Aprea of Aberdeen; children, Brianna Bailey and her wife Katelynn Bailey of Inverness, Florida, Justin Aprea of Savannah, Georgia, Matthew Gaines of Inverness, and Christopher Gaines of Aberdeen; his adopted mother, Gayle Gaines of Crystal River, Florida; two sisters, Carla Gaines-Yow of Aberdeen, and Stephanie Gaines of Dunnellon, Florida; three brothers, Kevin Spencer and his wife Wendy of Inverness, Graeme Gaines of Inverness, and Randy Gaines and his wife Heather of Citrus Springs, Florida; and his nephews, Jason Mullins, Bryar Benson, Jared Gaines, his nieces Tylar Benson, Skylar Benson, and Savanna Gaines.
Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with  Pastor Roger Burns officiating,

Sherry D. Wood

Sherry Daniels Wood of Raeford died Saturday, March 26, 2022, at age 56.
She was born in Cumberland County on October 17, 1965. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rockfish. She was an avid animal lover, sweet and sassy. She never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her mother Geraldean McMillan Daniels, her stepmother Dorothy (Dottie) Daniels, and her brother-in-law Barry Baker Wood. 
She is survived by four children, Elijah Wood and his wife Charisse of Raeford, Thaddeus Wood of Raeford, Hannah Wood of Raeford,  and Alana Taylor of Fayetteville; her husband Todd Wood of Parkton; her father Charles V. Daniels of Raeford; and a brother, Brian Daniels and his wife Tammy of Raeford.
Visitation will be held 6-8p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Crumpler Funeral home with the Rev. Tommy Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
