Catherine Lutz

Catherine J. Foley Lutz of Raeford, formerly of York, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, July 21, 2022 at age 79.
She was born in Pittsburgh on October 30, 1942 to the late Frank and Frances Foley. She was a volunteer with FirstHealth Hoke Hospital and with Hospice. She was employed with Boar's Head at Harris-Teeter. 

Her husband Edwin Lutz and her brother Frank Foley preceded her death.
She is survived by two brothers, Bill Foley and his wife Jo of  Pittsburgh, and Ralph Foley and his wife Jeanne of Scottsdale, Arizona.
A celebration of life will be held later in York.

Kathy H. Keisler

Kathy Hendrix Keisler of Raeford died Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at age 74.
She was born in Hoke County on April 11, 1948 to the late Samuel Brown Hendrix and Anna Mae Webb Hendrix. She was a member of Sandy Grove United Methodist Church and played the piano for Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church. She retired from Arabia Goff Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Keisler, a brother Brown Hendrix Jr., and a niece Nicole Hendrix.
She is survived by two sisters, Patsy Russell Gaudet and her husband Jerry of Charlotte, and Martha Ann  Hendrix-Beal and her husband Phillip of Raeford; and a brother, David Hendrix and his wife Peggy of Wagram.
A private memorial service will be held later.

Patricia Lunsford

Patricia (Patti) Lewis Lunsford of Raeford died Friday, July 22, 2022 at age 67.
She was born at Ft. Bragg on December 20, 1954 to the late Willard and Frances Smith Lewis. She was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher at Upchurch Elementary.  She never met a stranger and it was never goodbye; it was always "Toodles".
She was preceded in death by her son Monte Mack Lunsford II. She is survived by her husband Monte Mack Lunsford of Raeford;, a son Joshua Austin Lunsford and his wife Amy of Raeford; two grandchildren, Faith Marie Lunsford and Emily Claire Lunsford both of Raeford; one great-grandson, Grayson of Raeford; a brother, Mack Lewis and his wife Donna of Raeford; and a sister, Debi Murray and husband Scott of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Parker United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. 
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Parker United Methodist Church with the Rev. Josh Tester and Reverend Donald Sheilds officiating. 
Inurnment will be in the Church Cemetery

Shelby Miller

Shelby Jean (Doss) Miller of Raeford died Monday, July 18, 2022 at age 81.
She was born on April 29, 1941 to the late Thomas Marvin Doss and Mary Kizar Elizabeth Moss Doss. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Mitchell Doss. 
She is survived by five children, Laurie Fengl and her husband John of Gatesville, Texas, Donna Ghee and her husband Patrick of College Grove, Tennessee, Donald Wayne Ross and his wife Sue of Orient, Ohio, Richard Ross and his wife Rebecca of Raeford,  and Mary Ross-Tarkington and her husband Billy of Eagleville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Aaron Moneymaker and his wife Kaitlin, Shannon Ghee, Tommy Ghee and his wife Katrina, Jennifer Ross (Bradley), Marvin Ross (Linda), Camille Chrispen, Danielle Watkins and Elijah Watkins; 10 great-grandchildren, Jasper, Mavin, Wyatt, Emmalynn, Addie, Angel, Elena, Lynn, Kayden, and Thomas; a brother, Robert Doss and his wife Jo of Laurinburg; and three sisters, Carolyn Smith of Laurinburg, Nancy Willis of Wagram, and Mary Bullard and her husband Therrell of Wagram.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Community United Methodist Church, 2999 Calloway Road, Raeford, with the Rev. Donnie Robinson officiating.
