David A. Fields

David Alan Fields of Raeford died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst at the age of 64.
He was born in Robeson County on April 13, 1955. He was preceded in death by his father, JC Fields, a son Christopher Lee Fields and a brother Sammy Huggins. He was an auto mechanic before he retired.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Morales (Elias) of Raeford; three sons, David (Pun) Fields (Shannon) of Red Springs, Jonathan Fields (Sandra) of Red Springs,  and Daquan Fields of Raeford; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; his mother, Betty Jo Gallegos; a brother, Jimmy Fields; and three sisters, Brenda Riley Cheryl Barnes and Teressa Dimaura.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel in Raeford.

Delores Sheilds

Delores Ann Jones Shields, formerly of Raeford, died  Friday May 24, 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC. The funeral will be held at noon Saturday June 1, 2019 at Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters, 10225 Fayetteville Road Raeford, NC 28376. Interment will follow in New Pilgrim Holiness Church Cemetery, Raeford, NC. 
An additional funeral service will also be held 3 p.m. Friday May 31, 2019 at Temple Holiness Apostolic Church , 2218 NE 22nd Street Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The family will receive friends from 2pm-3pm Friday at the church. Online condolences may be sent to www.hooperfuneralhome.net.

Shirley L. Carson

Shirley Leslie Carson of Raeford died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 77.

She was born on September 14, 1941, to John Thomson Leslie and Ruth Childress Leslie.

She was a member of Raeford Presbyterian Church. She was employed with the Hoke County Department of Social Services before she retired.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years James Q. Carson of Raeford; a daughter, Priscilla Wade and husband Joe of Emerald Isle; a son, Robert Carson and wife Leslie of Carthage; and three grandchildren, Hayleigh Wade of Greenville, and Rebecca Carson and Emily Carson, both of Carthage.

Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the John C. Ropp Fellowship Hall at Raeford Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Steven Fitzgerald and Pastor Dwight Jackson officiating.

Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

Keltys M. Jimmerson Jr.

Keltys McCuine Jimmerson Jr. of Raeford died at U.N.C. Chapel on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the age of 35.

He was born in Fayetteville on September 2, 1983. He was preceded in death by his son, Austin Curtis Jimmerson and his sister, Audrey N. Jimmerson.

He is survived by three daughters, Jamie Lynn Jimmerson of Raeford; Emma J. Jimmerson of Rockingham, and Chloe B. Jimmerson of Rockingham; a son, Nicholas H. Jimmerson of Rockingham; his parents, Keltys and Sue Jimmerson of Raeford; his maternal grandparents, Noah and Audrey Hendrix of Raeford; two sisters, Denise Lee and husband John of Homestead, Florida and Ashley Jimmerson of Raeford; and a brother, Noah L. Jimmerson and wife Kasey of Jacksonville.

Funeral services will be announced by Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
