G. Raz Autry

G. Raz Autry, Jr. of 290 Fairway Lane died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst at the age of 85.
He was born in Harnett County, NC on January 9, 1927 to the late George Raz Autry, Sr. and Bertie Lee. He was an active member of Raeford United Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy and the US Marines during WWII. He graduated from East Carolina Teachers College.
Survivors include his wife, Ireni T. Autry of Raeford; a son, George Raz Autry, III "Skip" and wife Pandy of Fayetteville; four brothers, Corbit Autry and wife Frances of Raeford, Charles Autry and wife Jessie of Greenville; Wallace Autry and wife Edna of Dunn, and Ret Col. Jerry Autry and wife Jackie of San Francisco; three grandchildren, Lindsay Autry of West Palm Beach, Florida, Jackson R. Autry of Astoria, New York, and Samantha Autry of New York, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Raeford Cemetery with Chaplain Jerry Autry and the Rev. Adolph Smith officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at Raeford United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall following the service.
In liue of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hoke County Board of Education, Raz Autry Scholarship Fund, C/O Wanna Chavis, 310 Wooley Street, Raeford, NC 28376.
Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376.

Vickie L. Pate

Vickie Lynn Pate of 522 E. Edinborough Avenue, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in her home at the age of 51.
She was born in Cumberland County on November 19, 1960.
Survivors include a son, Chris Handon of Raeford; a daughter, Tiffany Handon of Raeford, her father, Robert Pate and his wife Janet of Raeford; her mother, Dana McInnis DeArce and her husband Gilbert of Miami, Florida; a sister, Jennifer DeArce of Southern Pines; and a grandson, Noah Handon of Red Springs.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home at 522 E. Edinborough Avenue, Raeford.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Dundarrach Community Church with the Rev. Dr. Ray Harris officiating.
Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376.

Alton Locklear

Alton "Jab" Locklear, 82, of 404 Murphy McLaughlin Road, died Thursday, April 12, 2012.
Survivors are: sons, Danny, Roy, Wallace and Jerry; daughter, Mary; sister, Catherine Dial; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was Monday. Apr. 16 at 3 p.m. in Hoke County Holiness Church. Burial was in church cemetery.
