Thelma Jordan Williams, of Lumberton, formerly of Raeford, died Wednesday, February 06, 2013 in Southeastern Hospice House at the age of 85.
She was born in Hoke County on March 3, 1927 to the late Ed Jordan and Sinnia Stevens Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Monroe Williams, Sr. She was a member of the Raeford Church of God for more than 45 years before moving her membership to the Trinity Holiness Church in Lumberton.
She is survived by two daughters, Faye Speights (Bob) of Lumberton, and Deborah Womble (Jim) of Nairobi, Kenya; two sons, Monroe Williams, Jr. (Donna) of Lumberton, and Chris Williams (Joann) of Raeford; two sisters, Eva Dean of Parkton, and Sade Pittman of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Praise and Worship Center, 2669 Fayetteville Road, Raeford with pastors Alton Burrow and Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

Elgin Blue
Elgin Blue, 45, died January 31, 2013. He was born to Lillie R. Blue on March 30, 1967.
He was a mentor to many youths in the community. He enjoyed all kinds of sports and was the
director for the Hoke County Parks and Recreations Department.
Survivors are his wife, Shermone Blue; sons, Jordan Locklear, Tyrese Blue, Sharif Truesdale, and Karon and
Kareem Howard; his other, Lillie Blue; brothers, Wesley and Christopher Blue; one grandson, Kinston Conely;
seven nieces; six uncles; nine aunts; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; a host of cousins and friends; and a very
special friend, Mitchell (Pop) Bratcher.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. in the United American Free Will Baptist Conference B Headquarters, Fayetteville Road, in Raeford. Burial will be in Highland Biblical Gardens.

Danny "Call me Pat" Lee Patten of Raeford died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in his home at the age of 44.
He was born in Linn County, Iowa on October 31, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. Patten. Dan "Pat" Patten proudly served in the United States Army before retiring from the 1st Cavalry Division.
He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn and Jennifer Patten of Raeford; his mother, Sharon "Sheri" Gillespie and her husband, Harley of Marion, Iowa; his brothers, Kenneth and his wife, Monica of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Nate Patten of Auburn, Kentucky; step-brothers, William Whitson and his wife Marissa of Franklin, Kentucky, Jay Coots of Seymour, Missouri; step-sister, Alicshea Webb and her husband, Jonathan of Portland, Tennessee; and step-mother, Cindy Patten of Portland, Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC.
