Linda Ricks

Linda Jean Owens Ricks of Raeford died February 13, 2024 at the age of 73.

She was born August 31, 1950 to the late Daune "Nub" and Hazel Owen.

She touched many people's lives with her charming and caring personality. She was such a sweet lady and would do just about anything for anyone. She loved her family, gardening, cooking, and shopping! She loved going camping in her campers that were in the mountains and at the beach.

She loved her job, she had worked at Smitty's Cleaners as a seamstress for 20 years where she eventually retired. She volunteered a lot of time to the church where she was a cook. She had retired from her working career so she could spend as much time as she could with her great grandchildren, she absolutely loved her great-grandchildren.

She knew how to have fun and laugh no matter what the situation, she always knew what to say. She was the glue that held the family together. Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Friend. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Stephens, Angel Core, and Derik Core; sister, Sandy and husband, Bob Phillips and their family and Shirely and husband, Dace Rice, and their family; grandchildren, Josh Casady, Kaela and husband, Aaron Noel, Thyne Adams; and great children, Lacie, Jaxx, and Millie Noel.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
