Carlos L. McRae died June 14, 2023 at the age of 49.
He was born December 1, 1973.
He is survived by his daughter, Shanice McRae; father, Richard Ferguson; brothers: Tony McRae, Wayne Ferguson, Micah McDonald; sister, Dale Ferguson; two granddaughters along with a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 at the Cape Fear Conference B Headquarters.
Alma Lee Lovette Simpson died Monday, June 19, 2023 at Crystal Bluffs at the age of 84.
She was born September 21, 1938 in Fort Bragg, a daughter of the late Joe and Alma Parker Lovette.
She was a lifelong schoolteacher in the Cumberland County Schools and loved to see students succeed and to spend time with her family and friends. She also was an active church member and served as pianist and choir director at Parker UMC for many years.
She is survived by daughter, Lisa Simpson of Emerald Isle; sons, Douglas Simpson of West Virginia and Lester Simpson III of Colorado; grandchildren, Bailey Stelck of Florida, Braden Simpson of Colorado, William Simpson, Adele Simpson, and Parker Simpson all of West Virginia; sister, Betty Bombatepe of Goldsboro; and a brother, Sidney Lovette of Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Parker UMC in Raeford. Online condolences may be made at www.jonesfh.org. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro.
Edna Stubbs Dailey died June 20, 2023 at the age of 68.
She was born February 22, 1955.
She is survived by her sisters Dorothy S. McLaughlin, Shirley S. McRae, Virginia S. Rahmaan, Thelma S. Bishop, Theresa Stubbs, Beverly Stubbs and Barbara Flowers along with a host of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 26 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
