Leon Wright Patterson of Raeford died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst at the age of 87.
He was born in Robeson County April 15, 1932, son of the late James and Cuma Wright Patterson. He was preceded in death by his son, Weaver Patterson, a sister, Brownie, and two brothers, James and Don. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the Raeford Presbyterian Church. He retired from Burlington Industries and Hillcrest Fire Department as a volunteer.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lavinia Wade Patterson of Raeford; a son, William Patterson and his wife Rachel of Raeford; two grandchildren, Kimberly Patterson and Joe Patterson both of Raeford; a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Donn-Patterson of Raeford; two sisters, Mildred Dickens of Maxton, and Jean Beasley and her husband James of Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Patterson of Maxton.
A visitation will be held 11 a.m to noon Saturday February 29, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave., Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Raeford Cemetery

Marsha Broadaway
Marsha Gail Parks Broadaway of Raeford died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 61.
She was born on October 23, 1958, the daughter of the late Marshall and Janice Britt Parks.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jimmy D. Broadaway of Raeford; a daughter, Traci Beth Thompson and her husband Jimmy of Raeford; a son, Dale Broadaway and his wife Amanda of West End; five grandchildren, Steven, Robert, Sadie, josh and Mason; a brother, Michael Parks and wife Vera of Seven Lakes; and two sisters, Carolyn Thornburg of Pinehurst, and Jennifer Parks of Raeford.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Burns Officiating.

Susan M. Lundy
Susan Maynard Lundy of Raeford died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 60.
She was born in Bladen County on February 15, 1960, the daughter of the late A.J. Lundy Jr. and Martha Maynard Lundy. She was employed as a nurse with the State of North Carolina.
She is survived by her sisters, Ann Rice and her husband Chris of Virginia Beach, and Virginia, Gay Cunningham and Alice Willocks both of Charlotte, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 from noon to 1 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

She was born on September 16, 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy McGougan.
She is survived by a son, Bill McGougan and his wife Joan of Lumber Bridge; two grandchildren, Martha McGougan of Boone, and William McGougan of Lumber Bridge; a sister, Mary Frances Doyle of Knightdale; and a nephew, Louis Loyd and his wife Jenny of Charlotte.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the McGougan Family Cemetery near the intersection of Balfour and McGougan roads.
