Rita Dawn Lee

Rita Dawn Lee died Thursday, August 15, 2019 in First Health Hoke Hospital.  

 She was born in Cumberland County on October 14, 1976. She worked as an Inside Sales Coordinator for the House of Raeford for over 15 years and loved her job. She was a giver, always willing to help anyone who needed assistance.

 She is proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Wolf, and sister, Nancy Uber.  

She is survived by her father, David Lee and stepmother Brenda Lee of Raeford; sisters, Donna Powell (husband Roy Powell, Jr.) and Jennifer Lou Lee of Fayetteville; nieces, Kelly Louise Lee McPherson (husband Joshua McPherson) and Jessica Lynn Lee of Fayetteville; nephews, James Robert Powell and David Robert Jonathan Lee of Fayetteville; great nephew, Leland Powell; and godson, Jake McPherson.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC 28377.

 The funeral will follow at 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Wiley Hughes officiating.

Burial will be in the Parkton Cemetery.

Annie Rogers

Annie Mae Scott Rogers of Raeford diedWednesday, August 14, 2019 in her home at the age of 86.
She was born in Bishopville, SC on November 20, 1932, to Robert Ernest Scott and Audrey Nellie Lee Hopkins Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raphu (Blue) Rogers and her daughters Cynthia Gail Rogers and Regina Faye Rogers Sargent.
She was a member of Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church, where in past years she was active in many church activities including serving as a vacation bible school leader. Her ongoing, Christ centered life of faith sustained and nourished her soul.
To her friends she was a beacon of warmth and affection, a caring and compassionate friend. She never missed an opportunity to provide support and encouragement to others.  But most importantly, she was anchor of a vast and devoted family. Her family cherishes memories of home cooked meals, picking up pecans on cool crisp days, raising worms, gathering on every holiday around her table. 
She is survived by a son, Glenn R. Rogers and wife Sherry of Hope Mills; three daughters, Debra A. Christian and husband Ray of Avondale, AZ, Kathy Long and husband Jerry of Raeford, and Sue Parnell and husband David of Raeford; one sister, Sylvia Maxwell of Camden, SC; 10 grandchildren;  20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Raeford Evangelical Methodist Church with Pastor Roger Burns and Reverend Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will be in the Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

Angela W. Blackburn

Angela (Sherry) Williamson Blackburn of Raeford died Saturday, August 10, 2019 in her home, at the age of 60.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Arnold Williamson. 
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ronald E. Blackburn of Raeford; her daughter, Jennifer L. Blackburn of Raeford; and her mother, Vivian Williamson of Tunnel Hill, Georgia. 
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

Ann M. Gore

Ann McNicholas Gore of Raeford, formerly of Fayetteville, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen at the age of 70.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ginny Poche of Raeford, and two grandsons, Joseph Poche and Christopher Poche both of Raeford.
A private memorial service will be held later.
