Molene Russell

Molene Hill Russell of Raeford died Friday, January 23, 2015 at the age of 93.
She was born July 7, 1921 in Scott County, Arkansas to the late Joe and Bertha Hendrick Hill. She was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church and was employed with the House of Raeford in human resources. She was the oldest of 9 children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vance Hinton Russell.
She is survived by 3 sons, Jerry Russell and his wife (Kim) of Raeford, Mike Russell and his wife (Vicki) of Wilmington, and Norman Snellgroves and his wife (Julia) of Fayetteville; 3 daughters, Wynona Fleishman and her husband (Stuart) of Myrtle Beach, Lawanna Hayes of Raeford, and Judie Peters and her husband (Wayne) of Fayetteville; 6 siblings; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 25,2015 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Castle officiating.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Raeford United Methodist Church Scholarship      Fund 308 North Main Street, Raeford, NC 28376 or to the charity of your choice.

Jacquelin (Jackie) Allen

Jacquelin (Jackie) S. Allen , 63, passed away at Wake Med in Raleigh January 7 2015.
She was born in Laurinburg to the late Virginia Williford and Eugene Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard Smith and her son Ryan E. Allen. Survivors include her husband of 44 years Jerry B. Allen of Raleigh, her son Eric J.B. Allen of Raleigh, her sister Barbara Hinson of Wagram, her brother Fred Smith of Raeford, grandchildren Kalei, Hunter and Andrew of Wake Forest, Jerry of Sanford and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Raeford. After marriage she lived in Raleigh, Yokohama, Japan, Cary and Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Her passions in life were her family, friends and the clay working community.
She served as president of The Triangle Potters Guild and as a board member of the North Carolina Pottery Center. She owned and operated Rare Earth and Casual Elegance in Clay.
A memorial service will be held at The Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary, NC 27511 at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31.  Friends and Family are invited to a reception immediately following the service at the family home at 8306 Penny Road, Raleigh, NC 27606. Flowers are accepted.


Maurick Bradley

Maurick Bradley, of Raeford, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors are: wife, Karen; daughter, Katrina; stepdaughter, Sharyce McElvane; stepsons, Adam and David Alston; sister, Stephanie Balaam; a grandchild; and a stepgrandchild.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 24 at 1 p.m. in Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Burial in the church cemetery.
 Visitation will be held Friday, January 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs.

Dorothy P. Wilson

Dorothy "Dot" Plummer Wilson, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on January 19, 2015. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Plummer and Virginia Powell Plummer of Hoke County.
She served as secretary of Aversboro Elementary School from 1965 until 1978. She was an active member of the Garner United Methodist Church until her health declined. She was a past president of the NC United Methodist Women, a member of the Saints Alive Club, the Literary Ladies Book Club and the Fellowship Sunday School class. She was an advocate for Christ and lived her life setting the example for others. She loved her backyard gardening and time in the mountains relaxing. Family and friends were the joy of her life and she will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Wilson Sr. Survivors include her five sons, Dennis R. Wilson, II (Mavis) of Manchester, Georgia, Charles Wilson (Vicki) of Greensboro, Ken Wilson (Vicki) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Scott Wilson (Peggy) of Apex and Tim Wilson (Laura) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tony Wilson, Wanda Wilson, Chris Wilson (Ai), Hal Wilson (Georgia), Leah Wilson, Dennis Wilson; step-grandchildren, Tory (Drew) Maxwell, Kate (Lee) Banwell; and seven great-grandchildren.

John Everage

John Worth Kern Everage Jr., 55, of Raeford, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015.
Survivors are: wife, Donna; children, Stephanie and John; mother, Doris; sister, Robin Myers.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. in Pinecrest Funeral and Cremation Services in Hope Mills.

Ervin "Buck" Beasley

Ervin W. "Buck" Beasley, Jr. of Rockfish died, Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 57.

He was born in Cumberland County on September 7, 1957 to the late Ervin Wilson Beasley, Sr. and Erma Bundy Beasley. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rockfish. He was an avid UNC basketball fan, a lover of God, family and friends. He was loved and admired by all that knew him. He always strove to enjoy life, even though he battled muscular dystrophy. He was a role model for all.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila D. Beasley of Rockfish; his daughters, Suzanne C. Beasley and Mary M. Beasley both of Rockfish; his brother, James Beasley (Gwen) of Fayetteville; and his sisters, Carolyn Turner, Barbara Roman, Nancy Carter (Jimmy) all of Rockfish.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.

The funeral will take place at noon, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Harold Bullard

Harold Bullard, 57, of 1916 Aberdeen Road, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.
Survivors are: wife, Michele; daughter, Christina; sons, Harold Collins, Josh Shatter, Quint Brown and James; and five grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. Sunday in Purcell Funeral Home in Laurinburg. Burial was in Lighthouse Baptist Church cemetery in Aberdeen.
