James Williams

James Williams, 31, of 266 Renees Lane, died Friday, May 15, 2015.
Survivors are: wife, Tamika; son, Ziqunn Bazemore; father, James Robinson; mother, Margie; and sister, Lakiesha.
The funeral will be held Saturday, May 23 at 1 p.m in Wiseman Mortuary chapel in Fayetteville. Viewing will b held Friday, May 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bernice B. Sanderson

Bernice Bullock Sanderson, 84, of Raeford, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

She was born July 7, 1930 in Robeson County to the late Roshell Bullock and Dulah Anderson Bullock.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Sanderson; two brothers, Holmes Bullock and Bruce Bullock; and three sisters, Odessa Hayes, Elise Grimsley, and Marjorie Hester. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Wayne Sanderson and his wife Nancy of Hope Mills, Johnny Sanderson and his wife Theresa of Southern Pines, Donald Sanderson and his wife Linda of Red Springs, and Jeff Sanderson and his wife Jacqueline of Red Springs; four daughters, Kathryn Sanderson of Raeford,  Susan Bradas and her husband Michael of Alexandria, Louisiana, Joan Sanderson of Raeford, and Joanne Sanderson of Raeford; a brother, Lester Bullock and his wife Mary of Michigan; four sisters, Phyllis Allen of Lumberton,Katie Rich of Red Springs, Carmelila Barnes of Orrum, and Virginia Britt of Lumberton; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Ephesus Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Sanderson officiating.

Monnie Mae Glass Mooneyham

Monnie Mae Glass Mooneyham, 95, passed away May 19, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Raeford, where she resided during the year prior to her death. She was, however, a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel, Tennessee.

She was born February 10, 1920 in Stickleyville, Virginia to the late William Jerome Glass and Addie Carter Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin Mooneyham and her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Pierce Juarez.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhenda Pierce Cameron and her husband Bill of Raeford; her son George Earl Pierce III and his wife Jan of Mount Carmel; four grandchildren, Candace Cameron Brock and her husband Billy of Raeford, Bill Cameron III and his wife Monica of Salisbury, Cassandra Pierce Butler and her husband Brandon of Duffield, Virginia, and Melinda Paige Pierce of Clinton, Tennessee; three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Susanne Brock and William Hind Brock III of Raeford, and Grant William Cameron of Salisbury; a stepdaughter, Paulette Mooneyham Clayman and her husband Ed of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24,2015 at Oak Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 800 Truxton Drive Kingsport, Tennessee, officiated by Pastor Ron Cassidy of Howe's Chapel.

Benjamin A.Elledge

Benjamin A. Elledge died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at the age of 89.

He was born September 14, 1925 to the late Benjamin A. Elledge and Clara Gambel Elledge.

He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel O. Elledge. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired in the late 80's from Burlington Industries. 

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Ray Elledge of Raeford, and David Allen Elledge and his wife Hye of Raeford; one daughter Bonita Elledge Atwood of Rowland: four brothers, Robert Elledge, Joe Elledge, Edward Elledge, and Walter Elledge all of South Carolina; two sisters Mary Ann Babbs and Beulah Lincathum both of South Carolina; two grandchildren, MelissElledge of New York, New York and Brittany Elledge of Raeford.

 Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Crumpled Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC 

The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Pastor Toby Neil officiating. 

Interment will be in Highland Biblical Gardens.

Gerald Winchester

Gerald P. (Jake) Winchester died Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Supply at the age of 80.

He was born March 9, 1935 in Lake City, South Carolina to the late Pinckney Winchester and Nell Coker Winchester. He was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church and a retired volunteer fireman in Raeford. He was a distributor with Mac Tools.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia W. Crowder and her husband Charles of Raeford; his son Charles P. Winchester of Gurnee, Illunois; six grandchildren, Greer Crowder, Tucker Crowder, Austin Crowder, Kenton Winchester, Karlie Winchester and Katelyn Miller; and his companion, Vivian Matthews of Fayetteville.

Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford. 

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Lake Lynn Baptist Church 3363 Gillespie Street Fayetteville with the Rev. Dr. Tom Fortner,Sr. officiating.    

Interment will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
