Stephanie McFadyen

Stephanie Dawe McFadyen of Southern Pines, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital at the age of 76.

 She was born April 17, 1939 in Galveston, Texas to the late James Dawe and Eleanor Domawich Dawe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Neill L. McFadyen, Jr. She led a wonderful and fulfilled life.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas McFadyen and his wife Worthy of Pinehurst and James McFadyen and his wife Jennifer of Fairfax VIrginia; and four grandchildren, Catherine McFadyen, William McFadyen, Amanda Worthy McFadyen and Thomas McFadyen, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Raeford Cemetery, with the Reverend Dr. Douglas Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Cathleen Adamson

Cathleen Williams Davis Adamson, 85, of Raeford, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

She was born in Duplin County on June 7, 1930 to the late Sam Williams and Olive Hill Williams. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Odell Davis, and Elmer Sloan Adamson, her daughter, Judy Mae Davis Fisher, four brothers and six sisters. She was a member of Pittman Grove Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two loving daughters, Peggy Davis Hicks and her husband Dortch of Raeford, and Carol Davis Boucher of Raeford; one stepson Scott Adamson of South Carolina; one sister Betty Jean Stanley and her husband James of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday, July, 6, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.

Entombment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbia, South Carolina.

Virginia H. McNeill

Virginia Harris McNeill of Southern Pines died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in her home at the age of 74.

She was born in Hoke County on November 17, 1940 to the late Robie Woodrow Harris and Thelma Collier Harris. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack McNeill, her son, Robert "Robbie" Baker, Jr, her granddaughter, Rebecca Baker, a great-grandson, Jerry Scott III, and her sister, Betty Currie.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Patricia Hankins (David) of Gastonia, Debbie Garner (Wayne) of Vass, Ginger Scott of Raeford, Gail Tant of Southern Pines; her brothers, J.C. Harris (Mary) of Raeford, Ellis "Juice" Harris (Peggy) of Raeford, Roy Lee Harris (Donna) of Raeford; her sister, Pat Lockridge of Raeford; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great -grandchildren,

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave. Raeford.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at The Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Randall Snead officiating.

Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her honor to The American Cancer Society.

Tina F. Locklear

Tina Faye Locklear, 45, of 121 Beltons Loop, died Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Survivors are: husband, Hubert Jr.; children, Joshua and Paula; mother and stepfather, Wanda and Milton Davis; brother, Ricky Chavis; grandfather, Henry Woods; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday, July 2 at 3 p.m. in Mt. Elim Baptist Church in Red Springs.  Visitation  will be held from1 to 3 p.m. Burial in church cemetery.

Donovan K. Jackson

Donovan K. Jackson, 40, of Raeford, died Sunday, June 28, 2015.
Survivors are: daughter, Jordan; mother, Eileen Donovan; and brothers, Wayne and Michael.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1 at 7 p.m. in Reeves Funeral Home chapel in Hope Mills. Visitation, will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
