He was born in Hoke County, March 6, 1933, to the late George W. Maxwell and Claudia Bullard Maxwell. He was the owner and operator of Jack's Auto Service since 1954. His work and his hobby were the same. He was a loving husband father and family man. His favorite thing to do was to go to the beach. This started early in his life. Then, as a group, would ride on the beach and down the coast from Ocean Drive to Myrtle Beach. Later he enjoyed going with Mary and the children. Through the years, as the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grew to 24, it took at least a 5 bedroom beach house for everyone.
