Lucille Hubbard

Lucille Pittman Hubbard of Morrisville, formerly of Raeford, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in her home at the age of 73.

She was born in Hoke County on June 10, 1942 to the late Alphus Worth Pittman and Mae Davis Pittman. She was a member of Pittman Grove Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Hubbard of Morrisville; her son, Lawrence "Larry" Hubbard, Jr. of Morrisville; her grandson, Will; her brothers, Glenn Pittman (Jeanie) of Elizabeth City, and Larry Pittman (Diana) of Camden; her sisters, Hazel Tucker of Hamlet, Shelby Upton (Glenn) of Camden, Dorothy Ayers (James) of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Carolyn Whitley (Marvin) of Battleboro; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2015 at the Pittman Family Cemetery with Pastor William Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home-Raeford.

Sandra R. Ludlum

Sandra Rozier Ludlum, 70, of Raeford died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville.
She was born in Cumberland County and was preceded in death by her parents, Othea and Lois Naylor Rozier.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Ludlum; sons, Terry Ludlum and wife Rhonda of Raeford, Keith Ludlum and wife Tammy of Wilmington, and Robert Ludlum and wife Bobbie of Raeford; two step-sisters, Phyllis Smith and husband Don, and Sandra Doughtrey and husband Cordy; two step-brothers, Mike Underwood and Eldon Underwood; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 at Pinecrest Funeral Home in Hope Mills, Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Bobby G. Allen

Bobby Gene Allen, died Monday, January 4, 2016.
Survivors are: his wife, Jennie Mae Allen; children, Merchel Menefield, James Allen and Bobby Allen; sister, Jerrie Mae Johnson and Annie Bell Allen; brother, Ralph Allen; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held Saturday, January 9 at 1 p.m. in Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Red Springs. Burial will be in church cemetery. Public viewing will be held in Buie's Funeral Home chapel, Friday, January 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Family visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Thomas W. Bishop

Thomas Weldon Bishop, age 51, of 5437 St. Pauls Road died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Cumberland County on July 2, 1964. He was a member of Dundarrach Community Church.

 He is survived by his son, Michael Weldon Bishop of West Jefferson; his parents, Weldon and Jenny Jones Bishop of Shannon; and a sister, Kathy B. Choy and her husband Tim of Raeford.  

Visitation will be held at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Dundarrach Community Church with the Rev. Dr. Ray Harris officiating.

Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
