A memorial service for the former Veteran Service Officer Frank Orians will be held Saturday September 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Parker United Methodist Church, 7400 Fayetteville Rd. Raeford, NC 28376.

Betty Jo Jeffries

Betty Jo Jackson Jeffries, 78, of Raeford went to be with her Heavenly Father August 26, 2017.

She was born July 29, 1939 to the late Labon Charles Jackson and Hattie Mae McKenzie Jackson. She made holidays special and made people feel welcomed and loved. Family always came first.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Jackson, Kathleen McBryde, Marie Hickman, and Frances McInnis; and her brothers, Howard Jackson, Charles "Mack" Jackson and William "Billy" Jackson.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Jeffries; daughters, Joanne Hollingsworth (Allen), and Gail Frahm (Tim); sisters, Jenny Matino and Carol Tew; brother, Bobby Jackson; stepsons, Wayne Jeffries (Jena), Michael Jeffries (Marcy) and Eric Jeffries; four grandchildren, Nick and Chris Frahm (Anna), and Danielle and Erin Hollingsworth; seven step-grandchildren, Zachary, Christian, Brittany, Morgan, Maggie, Jessica and Victoria Jeffries; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Frahm.

The family will receive visitors at Raeford United Methodist Church Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10 a.m.

In celebration of her life, a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scotland Regional Hospice, 610 Lauchwood Dr. Laurinburg, NC 28352 or Raeford United Methodist Church Elevator Fund, 308 North Main Street Raeford, NC 28376.

Michael B. Foster

Michael B. Foster, 72, of Aberdeen, passed away on August 25, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Tina Whitaker) Foster and three daughters, Kendra Collier (Ed) of Sanford, Angie Breeding (James) of Louisville, Kentucky and Erin Torres (Jeff) of Indian Land, South Carolina.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Patricia Maness of Robbins, Yvonne Dunn (Sherrill) of Meadowview, Virginia, Juanita Saunders (Jerry) of West End, and Debbie Cole (Tommy) of West End.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Charlotte Foster; two sisters, Delana and Sandra Kay Foster; and one brother, Donald Foster.

Following his request, there will be no visitation or services.
