Dorothy P. Wilson
She served as secretary of Aversboro Elementary School from 1965 until 1978. She was an active member of the Garner United Methodist Church until her health declined. She was a past president of the NC United Methodist Women, a member of the Saints Alive Club, the Literary Ladies Book Club and the Fellowship Sunday School class. She was an advocate for Christ and lived her life setting the example for others. She loved her backyard gardening and time in the mountains relaxing. Family and friends were the joy of her life and she will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Wilson Sr. Survivors include her five sons, Dennis R. Wilson, II (Mavis) of Manchester, Georgia, Charles Wilson (Vicki) of Greensboro, Ken Wilson (Vicki) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Scott Wilson (Peggy) of Apex and Tim Wilson (Laura) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tony Wilson, Wanda Wilson, Chris Wilson (Ai), Hal Wilson (Georgia), Leah Wilson, Dennis Wilson; step-grandchildren, Tory (Drew) Maxwell, Kate (Lee) Banwell; and seven great-grandchildren.

Ervin "Buck" Beasley
Ervin W. "Buck" Beasley, Jr. of Rockfish died, Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 57.
He was born in Cumberland County on September 7, 1957 to the late Ervin Wilson Beasley, Sr. and Erma Bundy Beasley. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Rockfish. He was an avid UNC basketball fan, a lover of God, family and friends. He was loved and admired by all that knew him. He always strove to enjoy life, even though he battled muscular dystrophy. He was a role model for all.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila D. Beasley of Rockfish; his daughters, Suzanne C. Beasley and Mary M. Beasley both of Rockfish; his brother, James Beasley (Gwen) of Fayetteville; and his sisters, Carolyn Turner, Barbara Roman, Nancy Carter (Jimmy) all of Rockfish.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will take place at noon, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

William James Hair of Linden died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in SECU Hospice House at the age of 64.
He was born in Cumberland County on December 27, 1950 to the late Melton James Hair and Callie Mae Sanders Hair.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Hair; his daughters, Mary H. Nutter (Paul), and Patricia H. Hugins (Timothy); his son William T. Hair; his brothers, Elwood Hair (Ladean), Ricky Hair (Carolyn), Junior Chapman; his sister, Ruby Wiggins; and 6 grandchildren.

Evelyn Myers
Evelyn Myers of Southern Pines, formerly of Raeford, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 88.
She was born in Cumberland County on August 21, 1926 to the late Matthew P. Young and Edith Vermell Melvin Young.She was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church and the Pearl S. Cole Sunday School Class, and all activities within the church. She was also a member of the Woodman of the World since 1962, where she held offices in the local district, was state past president, and also served on the national level. She was an executive secretary for Burlington Industries until she retired in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Ashburn and Charles (Bill) Myers. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Elwood, Mervin, Carl, Robert, and Maurice; and two sisters, Myrtle Hancock and Mary Alice Cain. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon K. Ashburn (Stephannie Willis) of Eagle Springs; her brother, Ernest Harold Young and his wife, Erma of Fayetteville; her sister, Tense Young Jackson of Lilesburg, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m. Saturday, January 17, at the Raeford United Methodist Church 308 North Main Street Raeford.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Raeford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Castle officiating. Burial will be in the LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville.

Robert A Grant
Bobby was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr, NASCAR and the Carolina Panthers. He was a dedicated employee of Bryan Honda for 31 years.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Irene Grant.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Friends may visit the home of Melissa Barbour at 1512 Quail Hollow Court, Fayetteville.
Stephen J. Costin
Joe was born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 16, 1961 and was the son of Doris Davis Costin of Aynor, SC and the late Halbert R. Costin. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mary Costin. He was a carpenter. Joe will always be remembered for wit and great sense of humor.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Ruth Costin; his daughter, Destiny Graves of the home, granddaughter, Emma Grace Graves; three brothers, Ray Costin of Aynor, SC, Mike Costin of Winnabow, Robert Costin of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Wanda Costin-Morales of Mary Esther, Florida.
A memorial service was held Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at 2pm at the Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel, 603 Ocean Highway, Supply, NC.
