Staff Sergeant Donna Johnson, 29, of Raeford died Monday, October 1, 2012 while on patrol in Khost City, Afghanistan.
She was born in Moore County on May 10, 1983 to Philas Ray Johnson and Sandra Guiton Johnson. She was raised in Raeford and joined the North Carolina Army National Guard in 2006. She was a member of the 514th Military Police Company based in Winterville, North Carolina and had previously deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2008. Survivors include her spouse, Tracy Joe Dice of Raeford; her parents, Philas Ray Johnson and Sandra Guiton Johnson of Raeford; a sister, Rene Anne Johnson Albattrawi of Raeford; and godchildren, Jason and Hanna.
Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue Raeford, NC 28376
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13 at Raeford Presbyterian Church with Chaplain (CAPT) Kevin Winemiller officiating.
